One of my friends was mad she wasn't asked to be a BM so she wore a poofy white dress to sabotage the bride!! I mean it is just dispicable here. I'm glad I found a group of nice girls who are just as happy to share their happy day with other brides.

If I were the bride I would have thrown red wine on her. Is that wrong?

Haha! At another wedding I went to the MOH was annoyed that the BM's dresses were kiwi green. No lie they were like neon green. But anyway the MOH was mad so she went into the bridal suit and had sex with her BF all over the bride's envelope gifts. I don't need to get anymore graphic but you guys can imagine what happened to her envelopes when he finished. Girls here are such biatches!

I have to admit that I have another forum that I have pretty much been at home with for 6 months- and they are great gals... I have led a couple over here that are DW brides because ... well let's be real- DW are different- off the beat and path of tradional weddings, but I will say that from the very beginning you gals have been great- thanks for all the help and now when I sit down at my computer I am torn between two screens.

AND I have to tell you that there are plenty of days that I am over there shaking my head and thanking the sandy beach gods that I am going to Mexico- it has saved so many headaches for me that I have seen other brides go thru.

God bless you that have walked the beaches before us... you have laid out a path and saved some of us so much time and reduced the struggle.. and for those still planning - keep your heads up and when you get to the beach-enjoy the sunshine!

Really? What would they be mean about? That seems so weird! This is the only forum I'm on but it's weird to think of brides being mean instead of supporting each other! Well I'm glad you found us - we're happy to have you as a member!

I will admit that this forum has made me laugh (often), cry (I know, i'm a sap!) and has also challenged my long-held opinions about tradition and even other issues.
I'm so happy to have all you girls...grouphug.gif
I second all of this! i was about to give up when I found this forum. Planning my wedding has gone from torture to fun because of my "forum friends." Plus it helped me find a great location (hilton), a great wedding coordinator (maye) - neither of which I would have considered without this forum!

Anything, really. Brides get flamed for asking the wrong questions, or for being "too young", or for not agreeing with one of the "regular" older members, etc. You name it. The worst part - and this is really why I quit using that particular site - is that if some of the members didn't like a particular poster, they would search for her all over the internet and post her personal information. That's pretty creepy! Things just got really weird over there. (And hence, one of the reasons I am paranoid about posting any pics of myself, or any personal info!)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
