Show off your shoes....

You definitely want to be careful about shoes and the sand - not to mention tying in your overall look with the fact that you're getting married in paradise on a dreamy beach!

What I did and what most of my brides do, is the best of both worlds. For the ceremony, barefoot sandals that can be customized by every option from fit to style, color and so forth. Some examples are below. The best part is, they can be incorporated into the rest of their jewelry with coordinating necklaces, earrings, bracelets and hair accessories.

When you're ready to dance the night away, you can slip your feet into a great pair of heels with our without your barefoot jewelry still on! They're fabulous for many reasons - from thoughtful gifts for your bridesmaids that they'll be ready to re-wear, as well as tying into the whole beach element :-) I have tons of examples both on my site as well as my fan page under the two "Barefoot Jewelry" photo albums.

If you're looking to add some sparkle to your reception shoes but maybe aren't interested in the entire shoe being bling-tastic, there are DIY Bling Bottom options to add that surprise sparkle as you're twirling around the dance floor!

Let me know if you have any other questions!

XOXO

Well on these boards its becoming very clear to me that I am totally over the top compared to most brides. LOL... guess my shoes will be too hahahaha. I'm digging this pair I found on Etsy although my search has just started. I have lots of time and am not overly concerned about my shoes. I plan on purchasing a pair of barefoot sandals from Red-I by Chelsea for our beach reception, but our ceremony will be in church, so I need a pair of decent shoes. I don't want to spend this much- but our colors are navy, peacock, and aqua- a palette of blues. I google peacock shoes and found these. And I love. I just think they might be too high for both my fiance and my dress haha. He's only 2 inches taller than me so too high of a heel is no good.

If anyone is looking for a inexpensive pair of barefoot sandals...they sell them at A.C Moore for $6.99 and come in 3 sizes...S (5-6), M (7-8), and L (9-10). They are really cute! I bought my entire wedding party a pair. A.C. Moore always has weekly coupons 40-50% off one item...so I ended up getting each pair for $3.50!!! It was a super deal! You can't even make them for that price!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
