I would think that it does include a beach reception! Here's what it says

"Private wedding reception, 3 hours, up to 35 guests – selected locations (reservation required, ask your Wedding Specialist for details)"

I'm taking that to mean that there are several locations and you'd have to book that location for your date, as in there can't be 2 beach receptions at 4:00 on a Saturday. Maybe I'm off. I'm anxious to hear as well!!!

Brides- I just spoke with a friend at work, her parents were just at the Royal last week. Couple of tips...

        1. If you want a beach bed you have to reserve it 2 days in advance.
        2. Don't be alarmed, there are military men with Ak-47s that patrol the beach in full gear.
        3. There is a lot of topless women on the beach (I am actually curious if you guys can report back on how bad this is, I really don't want to someone else's tits in my face all day, especially on the big day).

Stephanie, OMG, you just made me literally laugh out loud!! I went to The Royal last May and never noticed anyone with their ta-tas hanging out. I guess you can, but I never personally saw it. As for the AK-47's, I did see them on the street, but not on the beach either. Guess I was either blind, or I just had good timing. I do have a friend going there in 2 weeks, I'll report what she has to say too.

Shannon, I had originally gone with the Classic package but now I want to change to the Luxury package- do you think they will let me change to the bigger package?
Ok, now I'm confused... So, if I upgrade my package from the Classic Wedding to the Luxury wedding, will there still be a reception pp rate even though we have less than 35 guests?

LOL!!! Thanks for the that :)

Ok so I am confused now too with the pricing! I will be a guest at the hotel, BUT I am NOT getting married at the Royal, but I am doing the reception there. So are these price changes only if you book BOTH wedding and reception?

Stephanie - dude - you're hilarious. I was drinking my Tim Horton's, minding my business, when TITS jumps out at me and I laugh out loud! Thank you for that...I'm still grinning about it - not even sure why, really!

              Anyways...

Based on what I have read online, and heard from fellow brides, the "new" pricing applies if you are selecting a package first and foremost...if you are not getting married at the resort (just the reception) you would most probably not be booking a package...but rather making specific arrangements for the dinner only.

If you have chosen a package previously, but like me, aren't getting married until after the "new" packages are advertised, it has yet to be decided if you will receive only the things you've committed to thus far, OR if you will receive the extras (and for the listed price) that are now advertised (I hope this makes sense).

If I hear back from my WC before I leave, I will most definitely post what I know to keep you all on the same page.

I just wanted to make mention that, regardless of how the whole package issue may turn out, I have no doubt our wedding is going to be amazing. Lili, my WC, has suggested some lovely additions to our setting....and....though a cost reduction would most definitely be AWESOME, I'm not counting on it...

I cannot wait to go...only 8 more sleeps!!!

Hahaha! Not sure who had the "pleasure" of doing it, but there was a woman sunbathing topless near my ceremony site and someone asked her to put her top on!!!!

Apparently she was PISSED OFF and gave my FIL the evil eye through the whole thing! I laughed my a$$ off when I heard that one!

OMG, that is awesome! I'm sorry to be so crude, but damn, like I really want my FI busy "gazing" at someone elses chest! Seriously people! Its hard enough to keep the men focused with beer and fishing and everything else!

                    Geez, no kidding! LOL

Yah...no nudity was my only rule for the wedding party on the big day....I'll hope that it will apply to the people around us too! LOL

Of all the things to consider on your wedding day...THAT just shouldn't be on that list! LOL Hilarious!
