ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

I definitely didn't pay that second deposit. I got my invoice paid off so looks like my wedding is still on. I am pretty sure that it was just implemented. Julie never mentioned anything about it.

 

Diane, I CANNOT believe you have not paid your final balance yet! WTF!!! I would have went insane if I had Angie.

yep, i think i'll try reaching her again today. i would rather NOT go through the weekend without this being paid. when else is it so difficult to GIVE someone so much money?? ridiculous.

dianep - If it makes you feel any better, I've been dealing with the onsite WC for the past month, I sent my checklist in 3 weeks ago and I still haven't received any bill at all. She's so nice and replies to all my emails within 24 hours but still hasn't sent me one bill. Not my fault! Maybe I'll be slapped with a $XXXX bill when I get down there??

is anyone using Marvin from Maya Diseno Floral or got in touch with him? I am trying to get in touch with him but I have not heard from him since I put down the deposit. It's funny that NOW i know how you guys feel about WCs not replying to your emails. I'm tearing my hair out!

yep, it's good to know that i'm not the only one! who is your WC? you say she's actually nice and responds to your e-mails?! what a novel idea. i don't have either of those things. just an incorrect invoice. smile27.gif

i just sent an e-mail to my WC and the manager at the royal telling (not asking) them that i want to take care of this today. we'll see what happens...

i honestly wonder if the resorts know exactly how terrible the service is from michigan. sure, brides keep booking even though it's bad and they keep hiking their prices. but if people knew that they would be put through the wringer to get their beautiful wedding.... who knows?!

My WC is Lorena but I'm at Cancun not PDC. I wanted PDC so bad but the wedding times were already booked the weekend I wanted. That's what I get for procrastinating LOL!

And yes she's SO nice. She's more busy now so it may take an extra day to get a reply back from her but I actually get real full sentence answers! I had Angie when I dealt with the Michigan WCs and she just lied lied lied about everything. And my FMIL called down to the manager in Cancun and told her everything about the WCs in Michigan and how horrible they make the Royal look. (Well more Angie than anything) Who knows if they actually care cause as you said, brides still book. But it would be nice to know if something would be done if enough people said something to prevent this for future brides. I'd hate for other people to go through this.

They will do everything they can for you and Im sure you can do a lot when you get there!

What number do I call? I am so clueless! I feel like we should have had an orientation on what we need to do and what they will take care of for us. It's just all so confusing.

Hi Di,

I am using Marvina nd was just in touch with him this week. Do you send him an e-mail or give him a call to finalize everything?

Oh good! Just emails because we don't have international calling. My FI is going to call him today so we'll see what happens. I am so relieved that he is not going to steal my money! Do you recommend for us to call him instead of email?
