ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know who the DJ that the resort contracts with is?  I've asked my WC who the DJ will be, but she hasn't gotten back to me on this question. Have you girls heard anything (good or bad) about the DJ that the resort uses? Thanks!

Hey ladies! Kind of off the subject but I have a question about reception decorations. I'm bringing my own since the Royal's are so d*mn expensive. For those of you who have been there what kind of stuff did they have on 5th street? Any vases? Just plain, square ones? Were they expensive? (do I have to convert my money?) What about seashells? I know I can't bring those with but was hoping I could buy some down there.

Thanks in advance! :)

BTW - Jess, SOOOOOO happy to hear that your story had a happy ending!!! That makes ME happy!

Just wondering for you ladies who are having bridesmaids what you are doing for flowers for them? I obviously don't want to go through the resort for that, but I'm not sure if I can go on 5th Ave and find a flower shop and maybe pick out some different flowers and at least make little bouquets for them? My mom is really good at that kind of stuff, so she offered to help me put them together the night before.

Anyone who has been down there know if there is any places where I can buy flowers like that?

Thanks!

I couldn't really see it being dead either, but you never know.  Also, what photographers are you ladies using, I was going to use Moments that matter photography but they just got back to me and said they are now using one photographer and one assistant.  It use to be Lincoln and Lori and now its a local whose work I've never seen.  Makes me nervous!!

Someone had mentioned a while back that Maya Diseno was good and reasonable. I checked their web site some of it is under construction right now, but you can still see some stuff.  I googled it and it came up.  Its in Cancun. I was thinking of using them als,  but even if I have someone go pick everything up is the resort going to charge a vendor fee just for not using them?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
