Mel that is awesome! cheer2.gif See all you need is a nice shower to get the ketchup out, enjoy a drink and have an awesome time at the concert.

Great work to all the "Losers"!!!

Mel - Congrats on the promotion! What's that old saying, it's darkest before the dawn?

I'm hoping that's the case with me. I'm up .8 pound sad.gif I guess it could be worse. I did eat horribly this weekend with all of the "road food". I'm sure a lot of it was all of the sodium. It's time to kick my butt into high gear! This is not where I wanted to be at the half-way point!!! I have been so busy with work I haven't gotten to the gym to find a drill-sargent trainer. Must make that a priority! FI isn't doing much in the way of working out or being good motivation. Thanks to BDW so I don't have to do it alone!

Mel - Congrats on the promotion. I'm glad your hard work paid off. What's the old saying? It's darkest before the dawn?

I really hope that is the case for me! I'm up .8 pound. I keep yo-yoing back up and down. I need to just commit myself hard core for the last few weeks. This is not where I wanted to be at the half-way mark!!!

It's sooo hard for me to diet with my crazy work schedule, but I've made the following changes:

1. I always eat before I go to work (the equivalent to your breakfast), usually a lean cuisine or some cottage cheese & fruit.

2. I MAKE myself drink my 8 glasses of water. Sometimes I have to go into the break room and just slam 4 at a time, but I get it done.

3. I still eat the junk food I love, but just in small quantities. Diets never work for me because I get frustrated and binge. I'm not really denying myself anything- just eating 1 piece of pizza instead of 4. Eating a mini Snickers instead of a whole one, 100cal bags of popcorn instead of the big ones, etc...

4. I'm actually eating salad now. Yes, Sarah can eat salad...amazing.

5. I try really hard not to snack in between meals, especially at work. I force myself to find time to eat. And if I hit my calorie limit for the day I'm done- so if that happens at 1am, I'm up a creek- so I try to make better choices to make my food last longer.

6. I'm working out- and I actually go in the morning after working a 12 hour shift, or in the afternoon before working. It just doesn't work for me to go on my days off- I'm too tired. I have a workout buddy at work and she keeps me motivated. She's lost like 45 pounds post-baby and looks great so she's a great inspiration. She'll make me do that extra 2 miles on the treadmill when I'm dying!

So anyway, that's what I'm doing and apparently it's working. I may not have lost enough to win this, but it's been sooo helpful to me to have the support of all you girls- and the accountability! Knowing Ann knows what I weigh since she's seen me naked really is a motivator too...lol
Great tips Sarah and congrats on the great loss!!

i am not that stressed out b/c i ate a really salty dinner last night and i usually don't eat sodium so i am not sure how accurate it is. also, everyone keeps telling me i look like i am losing weight and my clothes feel looser so for this week i am not putting too much stock in the scale!

how is everyone else?
Just the salt alyssa, don't sweat it, next week it will all be gone plus more.

And Im sure the gain is from water Alyssa so like you said dont stress. I must say I am a little interested to see how Ann saw you naked LOL!!

I gained .5 but AF is here so Im hoping its water weight!
.5 is nothing, don't worry about, damn AF always ruins everything!

Alyssa I am sure it's just water retention.

I lost one pound. Not sure how it happened since AF is here and I didn't follow any specific plan. I did work out and watched what I ate...except for the mini Sinickers I horded when no one was looking. Hey I had PMS!
Congrats Yari!!

So we went to Ruby Tuesday's for a liquid lunch. They forgot my food order and offered me a burger because it was quick and I accepted. Then the server at the end spilled ketchup all over me. And I mean all over in my hair and on my beige blouse! I'm not having a good day sad.gif

I keep smelling ketchup....ewwww
Congrats on the promotion btw, that's great! Ketchup all over you, not so great, I hate how it smells.

And as for office space, I LOVE that movie, but you totally have to watch it with someone who works in an office. I watched it with DH one day and he just doesn't get why things are so funny. I used to come home and tell him stories about the stupid things that would happen at work or the dumb things we would do in the office, and he didn't find them funny at all, but I guess you can't really understand the office humor if you haven't been there.

Glenda I didn't see you post about your loss and I know it was a good one! I need glenda to come to mass and be my trainer and whip me into shape!smile120.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
