If you had to pick and could only do one of the following - what would it be?

 

1) Mariachi Band for ceremony and coctail hour - planning on using IPOD for dinner (and dancing - if anyone feels the need to)

 

2) Fire Dancers

 

3) Fireworks

 

Just wondering what everyone feels they get the best bang for their buck on.

I'd probably pick #1, I can't imagine having a ceremony and reception w/o music!

I think I would pick #1 too. But, the fire dancers sound like a lot of fun..I wish I had an extra $675 to hire them. Fireworks at $1000 a minute (I think this is the cost I read in a different thread)....I could personally do with out them...expensive!

Sorry I should clarify - if I don't hire the maraiachis then I would have the solo guitarist --- I think he is half the cost.

Suuuure - make the decision tougher. I still may go w/#1 because I love the idea of the mariachi band to add a festive feel to the cocktail hour.

I would go with a solo gutarist and the fire dancers. I think you could create the same mood with a gutarist as you could a Mariachi Band. The fire dancers are cool bcz you don't see them everyday. It would be really memorable and go along with the "destination" or Mexico ambiance. fireworks you see every 4th of July.... Fireworks are cool, but some people have probably never seen firedancers!
