I am not actually engaged but my bf and i have been together for 8 years. We are discussing the possibility of having a destination wedding in Cancun. We vacationed there and fell in love with it last year! We are mainly trying to figure out what kind of a budget we need to have a destination wedding there.

Thanks...

Welcome to the forum. I think you will find that around hear there is a big fluctuation between brides and their budgets. Some have done it for 10k and some for much much more. All have come out buetifull! It depends on what you want. Big extravagant or medium classic or very small intimate.

Let us know if you have any specific questions. Everyone is so helpfull around here!

Welcome!

I was totally a lurker on this site before I got engaged too. There was a period of time where I wasn't working and basically used that time to plan our wedding. My FI used to tease me that when we did finally get engaged I would make one call, say "Go Code Blue" and everything would be set.

And that's basically what happened! Because of my "pre-searching" I had the place, photographer, DJ, videographer, and coordinator picked within 1 month of engagement. It helped SO much!!!

Kate you are too funny! You are such a lawyer planning ahead of time before even being engaged. I always looked at things before I was engaged too. Just couldn't help myself!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
