Alright, I know this is wrong but I wish I was the LESS horny one!! UGH! It's KILLING my self-esteem!!!! FI seems to be content with sex about 2-3 times a month. I could go for 2-3 times a WEEK!!! I'm on birth control too! I'm going to go visit the shout box and see what's happening.

#2 I have like no sex drive anymore and never want to have sex with FI. I'm content with like 2-3 times a year lol Jk but 2-3 times a month is plenty for me . My poor FI . I'm headed to the shout box now to see what's going on over there

I went through the EXACT same thing with my FI and it was killer on my self-esteem.  For us the problem was that he was COMPLETELY exhausted 24/7 with his old job.  Now that he has a new position and isn't exhausted all of the time, he has done a complete 180.  Now I am the "less" horny one....thankfully in more ways than one!  Maybe exhaustion could be a factor in your case too?

You should! The Shout Box is a lot of fun! There are some really great girls over there! It makes the day go by so much better!

Yes you're probably right. He is a project manager in construction and has long, very stressful days, but I still can't get it through my head. I take it so personally and it drives me NUTS! I think his project that is causing all this stress is wrapping up so I am hoping for your outcome!!! Thanks for the support!

i confess that i have found out who my true friends are during this whole planning process. i might have to rethink some friendships when i get back from the wedding....

Oh I hope everything goes ok for you. Dont let them get to you. You just have a wonderful wedding and think about how amazing your FI will think you look on your wedding day =) Its your special day! They arnt worth it if they are going to make you upset.

Unfortunately I am in the same boat, but as "Skadow" said above, try not to let it get to you.  The ones who matter the most are the ones that will be there for you through it all!  The others aren't worth the stress/sadness/worry/etc....trust me!

I know how you feel too. My "friends" are turning out to be acquaintances, but people that were just acquaintances are turning out to be friends.

I confess that FI's youngest son (11, soon to be 12) drives me bananas half the time...okay, at least 75% of the time.  For the three years we've been together he doesn't eat anything that we eat, so there are always two meals cooked a night, when they are there 50% of the time.  I decided that once he started school this year (yesterday), that he had to eat what we eat, no more extra meals... and FI has agreed to it.  I have caught him in so many "white" lies that I just feel like I can't trust him.  I think for me, the hardest part is that he is so connected with his mother that he just doesn't care what I have to say. 

 

Don't get me wrong, it's great that he's connected with her and I wouldn't want it to change... but I feel like I get very little respect from him.  FI keeps telling me that I pick on him constantly, so one of the things I decided to change was now when I want something done by him, I tell FI to tell him.  FI has only given me a problem once and my response is "well, you think I'm picking on him when I talk to him, so you get to do it now!"    I've been trying very hard... but sometimes it just gets to be too much!
