Hi jennyclo,

Glad to hear that you finally received your confirmation. As for your question about sending your CC and ID, I was asked to do the same thing. I was a bit apprehensive to do it too, but considering it was next to impossible to get someone on the phone, I ended up caving in. It took them a couple of months, from the time I did so until the charge actually showed up on my bill.

I emailed my information as well. I got a little nervous about it after I clicked send. Luckily no sort of fraud has resulted from it. Also, it took them a year to charge our card. I sent the information in at the beginning of November 2009. I finally told the WC a few weeks ago that we want the card charged before we arrive. So I think it was finally done.

This link tells the dress code for each restaurant http://www.dreamsresorts.com/drepc/dining.html

and the site defines each one:

Casual

Bermudas (long shorts or capri pants), sneakers/tennis shoes or sandals. No sleeveless shirts for men. Ladies must wear a bathing suit wrap or cover-up.

Casual Elegance

Sneakers/tennis shoes or sandals, dress shirts with sleeves. No sleeveless shirts or flip-flops and long pants required for men.

Formal

For men, long pants and collar shirts; dress shoes.
For women, blouses, skirts, slacks or dresses; dress shoes.

I am wondering if anyone has any ideas/suggestions on what guests could to instead of banging on their glasses to have us (bride/groom) kiss.  I have to admit - I am not a fan of this tradition.  I am anticipating that I am not going to be able to avoid it completely and don't really expect to - but would like something a bit more exciting, less irritating and slightly embarrassing for the gues!!!

If anyone has any ideas, I would love some...

Thanks,

Carol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
