Gift for Wedding Coordinator

Recommended Posts

Has anyone stayed at other all-inclusive resorts before like Sandals and Couples? The staff there will not take cash tips from you, it's a strict policy. I'm suprised that RIU is different. I wonder if the staff gets paid better at the other resorts....

Actually Sandals, Beaches and Couples are owned by the smae company and they try to say its Ultra-Inclusive, which is why they dont allow tips, but to be honest if someone treats you well (even if it is their job) I dont see any harm in tipping, just as long as they dont expect you to....but if the wedding goes well and she's a big help we're definitelty going to give her a card with a little sumthin sumthin.....

If we hired our own wedding coordinator, I thought their fee, which is usually 15-20% of the total cost of the wedding, covered their services. That's almost several thousands of $. I don't mean to sound ignorant, but we have to tip on top of that? I think I'm going to have to opt for a gift for them.

I purchased my wedding planner a few things; a pen and pencil set with her name engraved on it, victoria secret gift set, and a nice tip at the end. She made my life so much easier. I thought it was appropriate. LOL, I used to send her multiple spreadsheet, word .docs., and call all the time with the craziest request. She was able to accommodate me at any time. She was also easy to reach. I didn't break the bank with these purchase. In addition, it was the thought that counted. She made my dream come true.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
