Hi Jasmine, Finally another 2017 bride! I am also looking into getting married in April 2017. After getting frustrated looking for prices and packages on my own for that time, I hired a travel agent and have felt better about the entire process ever since. Since hiring her, I have been able to narrow my list down to 3 resorts in Jamaica. She has even set up meetings for us to visit them at the end of January. She was also able to get us quotes for the packages available at the resorts for 2017 and estimates on how much our guests will have to pay to stay there. I definitely think that speaking with a travel agent will help ease the process. Good luck!

Taking advantage of this in January. My fiancé and I love this resort based on what we have read and the pictures we have seen. My travel agent just got back from the Montego Bay location and she said it's beautiful! I can't wait to finally see it in person!

@@mzcanizales is the fee that she's charging you refundable at all? I thought with travel agents they usually font charge anything up front and if they do its refundable or it goes toward your wedding or something like that.

Hi @@mzcanizales , When I met with my travel agent I had a list of resorts that I was looking into so I asked about her experience with those resorts what she knows about them and what the previous brides and their guests thought about them. She was able to show me pictures of weddings at the resorts and pictures from her recent visits at the resorts. I also asked her about wedding party size, what was the largest party she had to book for and what the entire process was like. I also asked about the benefits of using an agent. My agent impressed me during the initial meeting and she has been very good at responding to e-mails quickly. I felt much better after meeting with her and she is currently planning a trip for me and my fiance to visit 3 resorts in January. Good luck with your meeting!

My travel agent highly recommended this place. Her pics were beautiful! Currently trying to plan a trip down there to tour it and 2 other locations in December.

@@Jellym I'm in the early stages as well and have been torn between resort sites and off resort sites. One off resort I found that is gorgeous is Rose Hall in Montego Bay. What other off-resort sites have you looked into?

This is such a helpful thread since I had a lot of the same questions! Thanks for starting it! Have you found a travel agent yet? I have a meeting set up next week with one that came highly recommended so hopefully the meeting goes well.
