  1. Hi ladies, Just curious if any of you used the store Bella Bridesmaids for your bridesmaids dresses? Or if you are considering it? I have to use them because the dresses I want my girls to wear are only sold there in my area or else I would have to order them directly from the designer which is a little more expensive. I ask only because my experience hasn't been that great so far so I' hoping it will get better.
  2. Hi @@Missj2873, I'm in the process of doing my boarding pass invites but I bought a template from weddingpassports.com and have been customizing it. I'm currently debating printing them myself or having a company do it for me.
  3. Hi @@Hola20162, I used wedding wire. It's free and very easy to use. All the information my guests need is on it. I did pay for a custom url thought, only because I didn't want to have a long url on my STDs and invites.
  4. Hi @@MrsSLMP! Welcome!mI can't wait to read more about your planning along the way. Laughing Waters is beautiful! I considered having my wedding there but was worried about having to pay for everything I wanted individually. Do you also have a travel agent or are you doing it on your own?
  5. @@Mzt247 I'm definitely using them for the ceremony, haven't decided if I want to use them for the the reception yet, but I probably will. I'm also having mine at the sky lounge and since I'm not doing much else for decor other than what is included and rose petals to line the aisle (which I'm also bringing) then I wanted to add something else so I think the chair ties will be a good addition. @@Kcusack89 I haven't ordered them yet because I'm not sure how many to get but I've been looking at a few of the sites that former brides have suggested ebay http://www.weddinglinensdirect.com/ I've also done a few google searches and found some reasonable prices on other sites as well!
  6. Okay, so my wedding coordinator got back to me. The centerpieces I asked her about are $65 and $50 each. So I'll be bringing my own. I'm planning on having to use at least 8 tables so those prices are way over my budget.

  8. Hi @@Mzt247, I actually just emailed my coordinator last night asking prices for a few centerpieces that I like in the booklet she sent me. Depending on how much they are will determine if I bring my own or use theres. I am bringing my own chair ties though, they charge $4 per chair but I can get them so much cheaper online.
  9. Hi @@bmillerick and welcome! I think speaking with a travel agent should be the first step. They are very knowledgeable about the resorts and can steer you in a good direction based on what you are looking for in a location.
  10. We're getting married at Hyatt Ziva in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Originally our theme was going to be travel but I have since decided not to have a theme, I figure being in Jamaica in general is good enough. Budget is $15,000.

  12. It says 2016 but I'm sure it's 2017 since it's a little higher because the rate listed for DJ is $400 and DJ with sound system is $485.
  13. I just got the entertainment list with prices. There's a listing for "DJ" then "Dj with sound system". Anyone ask about this? If we choose "DJ" is there not a sound system included? Just wanted to find out before I ask my coordinator.
  14. @@jjbrown Do you know about the cost for extras? I'm trying to figure out if it would make sense to use their bouquets for my bridesmaids or bring preserved flowers imstead?
  15. I think the sooner you send them out the better. Are you working with a travel agent? If so then I feel like sending them out earlier can give your guests time to plan and save for the trip and can work out payment arrangements if necessary.
  16. It's great that you have so much done and still have so much time left! I think you should just figure out what you will be putting in the bags and what bags you would like to purchase for the OOT bags. How about music? Have you decided what you want to walk down to aisle to, first dance ect?

  18. @@Kcusack89 definitely do it if you can. I did it more to figure out where we were going to have our wedding so I didn't have the same questions that I have now. But since you're in the planning process I definitely think you should go for it!
  19. I did not like my make up during the trial so I'm not going to use the spa. I'm using TrishT, she's in Kingston but since I have a larger bridal party she's waving the travel fee. She doesn't do airbrish but I love her looks. Her instagram account is @makeuptrisht I also got information from a few other make up artists who I think are also very good: Rashel Edwards, a lot of brides on here have used her Sue the Makeup Girl @suethemakeupgirl, www.suethemakeupgirl.com All of their prices are pretty similar so it would just depend on what you're looking for.
  20. So we had the appointment yesterday for some of my bridesmaids to try on the dress. It actually is going to work out! There's a tube top that can be worn underneath if they want or they can have cups sewn in so they don't have to wear a bra. I did have them try on other styles too but they ended up liking and being fine with the convertible dress. The one that we're going to go with is from two birds.   21. Hi @@Toyal! I'm so happy to see another Ziva bride! How has the process been for you so far? Do you know if you're going to be bringing a lot of things from home or will you be using their decor? How many guests are you expecting? I haven't been able to start the planning portion yet but I should be hearing from my coordinator Julianne soon about that. I'm hoping I won't have more than 80 guests but we are looking to invite about 130 so we'll see.
  22. So I just realized there wasn't a dedicated Hyatt Ziva/Zilara Rose Hall thread. I wanted to share a few things with fellow brides since it is a relatively new resort. My wedding will be on April 23, 2017 at the Hyatt Ziva. I have attached the ceremony locations, packages and a picture I found online of a ceremony set up at the sky lounge. I have been asked about the resort a few times so I would love to share what I know with others who may be in the early stages!
