  1. Awesome, I feel better now! Bought the bags at michaels with coupons and paper at staples but wasn't exactly sure what to expect. Good tips
  2. We're dping white linen pants we picked up in Mexico at our last visit with coral button down shirts and seersucker jackets. Cool and casual but still dressy for our Dec beach wedding

@@candle23 great idea for a DIY if Michaels doesn't work out in price. thanks ladies!
  4. @@NJbride, yes please post items and your wedding pics!
  5. I've got to figure out how to use these on a round table, there are always square or long tables in pics now
  6. Resorts are about the same it seems (look at the Excellence websties for pricing). They usually have the bride and groom flowers included for basic flowers (usually lilies, roses, etc.). Otherwise, I've been quoted 15-250 for bridal bouquet and 50-75 for bridesmaids. Orchids are what raised the price
  7. Hi! I loked into Al Cielo too but ultimate;y decied against because it was more secluded, not much but enough. The area is great, beauticful beach and the maanger was really great with emailing me back prmptly so I would think they could help arrange activities. You are basically between Playa Del Carmen and Tulum, so you have the town and the ruins for day trips. Just depends on how much exctiement you want
  8. We were planning to use http://www.zazzle.com but ran out of time and just went through the post office. They have several postage rates including the 70 cent ones for square envelopes.
  9. We staying a few days with our guests before the wedding plus the day after then changing resorts for our honeymoon across the bay. Best of both worlds
  10. The Beach Tulum accepts kids once you rent the whole space out and you can also rent out their sister property right next door Cabanas Tulum. We had looked into them when we were thinking of doing our wedding in Tulum but our party is too small. Now we' ll just honeymoon in Tulum
  11. We're getting married in December so giving a box with: homemade sea salt, sea shell topped wine bottle stopper, and silver starfish ornament Can't wait for the DIY to begin, I need to get on it!
  12. I would be careful even with a year to go. I started negotiating with a hotel and got a great quote then all communication just stopped and I found out it was being re-branded. When I finally got in touch with someone again, nothing was going to be honored from the previous written quotes! A it of a different story I know, but things change all the time even with an very upscale brand (like this one was).
  13. Not sure when you're getting married, but I"m also looking for fake coral for my December wedding. If you have some left over by then or find extras please let me know--thanks!
  14. Glad I saw this. I'm getting married in December too at 5pm but I think I'll stick to it. I want to do pics before hand and I don't mind the dark for the ceremony, planning lots of candles and looking into a standing chandelier. So, fingers crossed it's all ok with a fast sunset
  15. I've seen that in some pics and it looks gorgeous. I"m thinking one over the pier for the ceremony, so gonna look into it.
  16. NJBride2014 you just made my day! I was expecting like $1000, but it sounds much more reasonable. I'm getting married on Isla at a beach club, so everything has to be brought in. I'm working wit a wedding planner and wanted to get an idea first of the cost before I got my hopes up to high. They look gorgeous for the pier wedding I'm thinking about
