  1. Hello,

All of my bridesmaids live in different states, and I mean, Maryland, New York, Arizona, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Some of them know each other already, some dont. My friend from AZ will be in town for Thanksgiving, so I decided that I will have a girls night at my house the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend. I talked to some of them and they all seemed excited for it. I only know one, will be out of town and shes very young (16) so, it's okay if she can't make it.

So, I was wondering. If I should invite my mom, fiance's mom, and aunt (godmom) I would invite my stepmom, but I'm pretty sure she won't make it. I live 3 hours away from my family.

I doubt my mom, will come since this will be an evening event.

I tried googling and found some people ask for help on other boards like wedding wire, but the ladies there arent very friendly and I feel that since this is a destination wedding, this could be helpful.

I was going to make food and sangria.

I don't know if I should decorate my house in anyway special.

I also do not know what we should be doing, I don't want this to be awkward. Are there any games we can play or anything? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

  2. @@jackielemman your pictures are beautiful. My ceremony will be at the Bugambilias Gazebo and reception in a ballroom (I asked for star, but we'll see). You definitely should do a how to guide under 10k! Your pictures are beautiful. Did you do video? It's great that you had 40 guests and hit the 75 nights. Did you honeymoon at Moon too? How do they treat honeymooners? My friend honeymooned at Sun Palace and loved it. The cigar tolling sounds great and the mariachi is an awesome touch, I'm sure my fiance will say no to exrra expenses our budget is 9k including our flights and honeymoon. Did you rent you're tablecloths too? I was thinking of buying them online, I want navy tables with gold accents and hints of pink

  3. @@jackielemman thanks for sharing. I wish my wedding was closer. Where did you stay? We booked a concierge room. I asked for the sunrise side, but I was told that it's really up to Palace. I'm glad you reached the 75 nights. That is what I am stressed over now, trying to get guests to pay their deposits.

Our budget is under $10,000 as well. We plan to hire a DJ, but I would like to have a better range on how many guests are coming. Before I hire one. Maya Floral has a bunch of great reviews, I am not a flower person though and was going to have my stepmom make fake bouquets for everyone, but maybe I can order a few bouquets from Maya Floral for centerpieces. To upload pictures there is a white box with green inside under the smiley face, when you hover over it, it says image. I have my wedding booked for the bugamibilas sp gazebo, but I want to switch to Tucan for the longer walkway. We want to have a ballroom reception, I appreciate your feedback on the ballrooms since it doesnt seem to be popular for many. I asked for the Star ballroom, but who knows what I'll get. I just dont want it to be dated. I saw the ballroom at Playacar Palace and it is quite nice and has white draping.

  4. I believe Moon Palace uses Ocean as well. The outside Vendor fee for Palace is $800. I have not received a list of Palace approved vendors yet, however, I have seen some prices before of preferred  photographers and I feel that hiring an outside photographer, with the vendor fee, still lets me save money and gives me more for the money.. as in more time. I also do not want printed pictures, I would rather them on a desk or drive and I will have them edited and printed myself. I don't mind if they are edited, but I don't want them printed.

  6. Hi ladies,

I know alot of us have been utilizing the 2014 Moon Palace thread. However, I thought it would be useful for us to have a thread for our needs since things change throughout the years. Plus this would be easier to navigate than going through 90 pages of threads. Palace changes preferred vendors at anytime apparently and has recently changed the promo for weddings.

I am still trying to get the hang of the new promotion. I thought I understood it, then I was wrecking my brain last night trying to figure out what I needed to qualify for free nights. So stressful, I've been having nightmares and my wedding isn't until June 2016.

  7. @@natalie25 Brenda is mine as well. What do you mean by details? We booked the Bugambilias Gazebo and Terrace for cocktail. I asked for a ballroom for the reception. I said the Star ballroom, but she just said "a ballroom was reserved." I want to also book time for the welcome party, but I don't know if I can do that yet. I want to plan as if I have reached the 75 room nights. At least, thats the goal. I plan to use the free dinner as a rehearsal dinner with the bridal party and parents.
