  1. @@robertandreneesayido oh trust, I have asked for it several times. I just sent her an email basically saying I have some questions and listed each one as a different "paragraph" she responded to each question under my question. I hope that makes sense

I like that photographer she chose as well. There is now a Palace brides facebook group started by BDW. The prices for Ocean are on there, I may use them, because I want photo and video and I think they may be in my budget. I do wonder if I can remove some things from the package.

  2. The vendors are below. I hope this helps. It was in a table when Brenda sent it to me and it did it's own thing when I copied it

  3. Hi I just found this site and have been reading forums now for over 2 hours. I am getting married in Cancun at the Moon Palace Resort 3/28/15. I have yet to purchase my dress. I honestly am so stressed about it. I want a dress that will travel well and isn't over priced. My budget is about $1,000total including alterations. Any suggestions on designers. I have looked at Alfred Angelo and tried designers such as Maggie Sottero. HELP I am really running out of time.

Are you near Philadelphia? There is a bridal store going out of business that I got my Maggie from for 40% off

  4. @lydiasusi I would probably wear both. I spent $1200 for my dress for my 6/16 wedding. I have loved this dress for a year. I also love the Galia Lahav style dresses, but I know they are wayyyy out of my price range. But, I have the dress I wanted and if something else comes up at least I have a choice and can always sell the other. You may have better luck selling when it comes close to wedding season. Also, try craigslist.

  5. @robertandreneesayido Brenda is my coordinator as well. I had a site visit scheduled in September when we were visiting Playa, but my fiance did not want to pay the cost to commute to Cancun. I visited Playacar Palace, while it is a beautiful resort with an amazing location, I feel that it was too small for our needs, plus more expensive for our guests. I told my palace sales lady, I think in Miami that I would be visiting Playa and she sent me a form to schedule a site visit. My site visit was scheduled with my assigned wedding coordinator.

I will say the response with Palace is slooooooow. But, once Brenda replies she answers all my questions and is the sweetest thing. I have changed resorts, ceremony locations, requested event locations, and she has helped tremendously. I do wish I was able to do a visit to actually see the locations in person. But, this site has been a great help. Plus, the surprise will be part of the magic.

I also plan to get a day pass for my photographer, I am trying to find a photographer/videographer duo. However, the only video I want is getting ready and the ceremony and possibly the beginning of the reception. So depending on cost, I may get an approved videographer.

I also plan to book a night for my DJ. I also thought about getting a day pass for him as well and having the groomsmen wheel his luggage in inconspicuously. But, that might not work. Plus, I think he would appreciate being able to lay right down after a long night :).

I know Palace uses PSAV and JSAV. I have contacted PSAV and their response time is not impressing me at all. I am hiring DJ Discomovil and plan to send him my contract today. Even with the outside vendor fee, he is still very affordable.

Gama Grupo and Zuniga are listed as the preferred decorators. I don't plan on decorating the gazebo, maybe just some chair sashes or hangers on the aisle chairs. The ceremony is only 30 minutes, so I dont want to invest alot of money into it. I am fond of the gazebo draping. But, honestly who's going to notice or remember.

I am having a ballroom reception, I would love outside, but fiance wants to be in AC. So I'll have a welcome party outside :). I plan to have curtain draping and uplighting in the ballroom, use their white table cloths, bring chair sashes, table runners, centerpieces, rent chiavari chairs, and plate chargers.

I'm planning to bring 2 beats pills speakers for our cocktail and welcome party

  6. Hi ladies,

Does anyone have any details about the ballrooms at Moon? Our ceremony will be at the Tucan Gazebo. I asked for the Star Ballroom, I was told that the request was made for us to have the Nizuc Ballroom and that the WC will ask for the Sunrise ballroom.

So, does anyone have any pictures of the ballrooms? We plan to have our reception in a ballroom, I asked for star because it seemed to require the least amount of decorations.

Please share your ballroom pictures and any tips you may have. Also, what is the distance from the Tucan Gazebo to the ballrooms.

    Thank you!

  7. Hello Ladies,

I am looking for items in navy, gold, and blush

    napkins

    tablecloths

    table runners (preferably chevron)

    charger plates

    chair sashes

    gold napkin rings

    etc.

My reception will take place in a ballroom, so I am trying to spruce it up.

For centerpieces, I will be using candles and gold mason jars for vases (from my grandparents 50th anniversary) filled with light pink flowers and babys breath.

I am picturing navy tablecloths or white tablecloths (what the resort provides) with the navy table runners, gold chargers, with the white plates, gold napkin rings on navy napkins, gold chiavari chairs with navy chair sashes, lots of dim candle light

I am trying to find everything in cotton or polyester, it would just be easier to not go satin for me, because then I will go crazy trying to match the material with the satin.

    Thank you ladies,

I will be keeping an eye on post wedding sales as well.

  8. @@Mrsktobe sorry, I thought I replied to you. Im looking for table cloths, table runners, napkins, chair sashes, candles, candle holders, napkin rings... Basically anything navy and gold. I plan to have hints of blush, coral, and maybe a little mint. Trying to show a little vintage. Our reception will be in a ballroom, so I reallly have to spruce it up

  9. OK great. Thank you @@calgarybride2015 this will be the first time some of them meet and I want it to be as casual as possible. I hope it all flows together. I do think my bridesmaids will all get along quite nicely. It worked out, that a friend who I planned to ask to be a bridesmaid said "she better be a bridesmaid" after our engagement turned into "just send me an invitation" when I told her we were planning a DW. But, even though I was a little hurt, I think it worked out for the best as I really don't think she would mesh well with the other girls. I already gave them all their bridesmaid boxes (will post pics later). This would have been a perfect time to do that though :(. I don't really host events, or go out often so I may be thinking more than I have to.
