So April 1st 2015 didn't work out for me but we are now going to Punta Cana Nov 21st to the 28th! The wedding will be the 25th (or possibly the 24th) any other Novemeber 2015 brides?

@@kcole123 its posted here...its actually too big for me so I have to get it altered anyways...its not as fancy as most wedding dresses...maybe I'm watching too much say yes to the dress.

You did so many things!!! and brought so many decorations! Now I know why you had so many suit cases!! lol....you should definitely submit your wedding to Style me Pretty or any one of those wedding blogs or magazines...You did an awesome job...again WOW! @@kcole123 you are totally right...paying a little extra for your wedding day is worth it....that's why I'm a little bummed about my wedding dress right now...I got it for a super price and I loved it but I'm worried it looks cheap...I think it looks good on me...but it's a little see-thru because of the lining...do you think I can get the lining replaced?

@@kcole123 That's pretty good... I think when I was looking at my budget I lose almost 2000 in the exchange rate... Yuck! But like you said it would cost way more at home and we get a vacation to a hot sunny place with our loved ones for a week! This will be so helpful for future Melia brides... @@shevette925 I was thinking of doing the same thing because I just didn't know what to expect from palladium for the reception...and I can't seem to get a set list of prices for add ons....but after hearing Mels84 review...Im a little more positive about it I do hear great things about the jellyfish too though! @@Mels84 I am so glad you had such an awesome time at your wedding and a great Wedding experience with the resort & Carolina!! That really puts me at ease! I have so many questions for you it's unbelievable! I will make a list and post soon (this weekend)...lots of reception questions..lol...Thanks so much for sharing!! @@shevette925 your weddings are just a day apart from MandyMc....fun!! I'm having the same amount of guests...roughly...so I was just wondering why the renewal package wouldn't work for you? Maybe I have missed something important? Should I be choosing a wedding package as well?? I know all the packages only include 8 people and then you have to pay 22 per person after that...or did you get different infomation...I'm always a little curious if they just make the prices up... @@MandyMc Welcome to the Forum!!! I had a few bad experience with Travel Agents through an online line agency..it wasn't until I went into a travel office next to my work that I finally found someone who was great. But again like Kerrierf I am in Canada and have family all over...my suggestion is find a travel agent you can talk face to face with. @@Kerrierf only a Few Short Months left for you...hows the planning going? @@Candace88 Welcome!! I was previously organized and on the ball... then a bunch life happened...wedding date got delayed...Now I'm left feeling a little unorganized and nervous that I'm going to miss something important...I'm in the midst of redoing lists, budgets, inventory...I can't find half my things/ papers / emails...now with the CAD going down my budget is quickly shrinking ...I'm going a little crazy I think... Hearing about everyone else's planning is helping me stay on track!! Remember things I forgot...and things I didn't even think of...I have so many questions right now I can even organize them!! lol I am so GREATFUL this forum exists and that you girls are all going to the same resort...it helps so much to have people you can talk to that are all going to the exact same place and dealing with the exact same WC! I'm getting more & more excited now even though it's still months away!! Happy Wedding Year Everyone haha!

I am also having dress regrets...I bought my dress almost a year before my original date of April 1st 2015 and now that my wedding is not until Nov now I feel like I could find something better. I took it to my Brother in Laws house after I bought it so my FI wouldn't see it and I haven't tried it on since.... feeling a little bummed about it...

I did a photography certificate at GBC and I have a few friends from school coming so that should cover all my basis! Our budget is pretty limited. Are all of you guys doing a legal wedding? we are planning to do a renewal...and just get married a few weeks before we go...this will save a bit of money...but also my Nan cannot get travel insurance to travel out of Canada anymore and I want her to be involved...she will be my witness. My problem is that this package is not well described like the Karen Bussen Packages...it says I have decorations but it doesn't say what...and does anyone know what the decorations are like for the reception? If anyone has information from Carolina about extras: DJ, Makeup, Decor Flowers? Etc. And are any of you guys thinking of having a private reception and using DJ mania? I'm so excited I'm thinking of 100 things at once!! EEEEEE!

I have finally BOOKED my wedding!! I ending up with The Grand Palladium Bavaro Suites Resort & Spa...was able to keep my original deposit with the hotel and just switched the date! Got some pretty good prices from Air Canada Vacations for late Nov and put down the deposit yesterday!! So in one year from now I will be on a beach with all my friends and family!!! So excited to get back on here and start planning!! I'm sure that there are many more bumps in store, but I think now it will seem easier compared to. Thank you to everyone who responded to this thread and sent me PM's, you helped me keep my sanity!!
