  1. I think you will need to send Alejandro a copy of the confirmation of your reservation (so he can see that you are booked for the time period of your wedding). And then he should send you a pdf confirmation letter with your wedding date and wedding confirmation number. Once you start planning with what specific items you would like to add (such as rehearsal dinner menu, reception menu, any add-ons such as DJ, flowers), he'll create a quote for you when you get to a good point or near finalization. Congrats on setting the date!
  2. I know this is a studio suits thread but I just wanted to share that we just bought linen suits (in khaki/light beige) from the perry ellis outlet store and they were $90 (after 50% off and an additional 10% off student discount)! They aren't custom-made and they only had 1 color at the outlet, but the price was too good to pass up! I'm not sure if the sale is over but something to consider!
  3. how did you like your experience with prettyflowergirl? I read on other sites some bad reviews and although I really like some of their dresses, I've been scared to order from them!
  4. that's the exact same veil i wanted as well! did it come in yet? how's the color? my dress is ivory but it's not too yellowish...it's pretty white-ish ivory! i wasn't sure if i should get the ivory veil or the white veil.
  5. i just commented on your bouquet in another thread! your dress is amazing! and it's so flattering on you! congrats again!
  6. the bouquet is so beautiful! and you look so happy! congratulations!
  7. omg, i just LOVE your new profile pic! you both look so happy in love! congrats on the legal ceremony! and i'm sure by the time you're in paradise, ready to get married, your dress will fit like a glove! it's probably all the stress and the lack of oxygen at your fitting that made the dress seem a bit uncomfy! can't wait to see the photos from your big day...you're gonna look stunning!
  8. Great idea about unplugging the ceremony only! Perhaps we'll consider doing that. I think a lot of my friends are more interested in taking pictures of themselves anyway (rather than me and the ceremony) since they'll be dressed up and in paradise! Haha! It would make sense to allow them to take photos during the reception. It certainly is something to think about though!
  9. Gorgeous indeed! You all look so amazing! I can't believe those aren't real flowers! Kudos to Bloom Bridal!
  10. I read this article today about how couples are opting to have "unplugged weddings" and asking their guests to leave their cameras and camera phones at home (or turned off) so that everyone can just be free to enjoy themselves and be in the moment with the bride and groom. Also, these "guest photographers" would create terrible photos for the professionals (the article provides some examples)! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/bridal-guide/why-you-might-want-to-con_b_3331528.html?utm_hp_ref=fb&src=sp&comm_ref=false Is anyone considering "unplugging" their wedding? What are your thoughts?
  11. someone earlier had mentioned http://www.tableclothsfactory.com/ for linens. and they have 20% off right now! hopefully, they have the color you need!
  12. congrats! your ceremony set up looks SOOOO beautiful! if you have a review with photos to share, it would be greatly appreciated! Also, did you have any children at your wedding? I'm wondering if the Beloved offers a children's menu for the wedding reception? Thank you!
  13. any tips on how to order the pants? do you think it was the measuring or the fact that your FI lost weight? I'm so nervous about ordering because I hear some people had pants that weren't roomy enough in the leg and now I hear that the pants were too big. I saw a post a few pages back about adjusting the measurements in order to make sure the fit works, and I wanted to see if you had taken that advice and the pants still came out too big? thank you!
  14. Hey BodaHermosa, keep in mind that if you do a reception on the beach, you'll have to rent lighting for that area. But I think having lights wrapped around the palm trees as well as cafe lights strung around the perimeter would look so romantic and cool. And maybe a lighted dance floor? Haha! Just some thoughts. It's like a blank canvas so you can bring in the details (but at an additional cost) that will make your reception unique!
