  1. Hi Resplendent, yes, the wedding color is teal and baby pink. I like how it looks to be honest, but I think we will make change with the color of the envelope to make it less busy, and color of some of the wording to more original color such as black or red. We will play around with photoshop more. I will post the final results. I'm glad that everybody loves it so far, I totally worried that it is too cheesy. Thanks heaps.
  2. Thanks Resplendent, Do you think that the envelope color is quite cheesy, would you think this envelope's color will be better? http://cdn.bestdestinationwedding.com/0/0e/0ef902ac_Pink-vintage-envelope-fullscreen.jpeg And Do you think that the invitation suit's color is too cheesy, I love it so far, however, just think that some may think it's too cheesy. I would efifinitely change some color of the wording (quite fade away and difficult to read) ???
  3. I have posted in another post, but would love to share our 1st dratf from the invitation designer, let me know your opinion and anything we should change. 4. We do not pay for guests accomodation only suggesting them where to stay, it is a small island so all the hotels are closed by and not many resorts. I would prefer to have adult only wedding but a lot of our friends have babies, and small kids, I am already greatful if they make an effort to come, and dont want to make them feel pressure to have nanny, so it's up to them, but we will send email offering nanny service for the wedding date if they would like.
  5. We received our first draft from our wedding designer Secret Diary from South Africa - within 2 weeks, amazing work, and I highly recommend them. We love it so far, the designer has turned our wedding theme (airmails, postcards) however will change some of color of the wording and the envelope from pink to more vintage feel, as we think it is a bit cheesy (our wedding color is baby pink and baby blue - so it's not entirely their fault). Let me know how you feel, if you hate it or love it, I wont be offended what so ever. Invitation: http://www.flickr.com/photos/48741173@N05/8457479140/in/photostream/lightbox/ RSVP postcard: http://www.flickr.com/photos/48741173@N05/8457481796/in/photostream/lightbox/ Envelope http://www.flickr.com/photos/48741173@N05/8457491104/in/photostream/lightbox/ --> Please let me know if you dont like the color of the envelope!!! We are thinking about changing the color to this Thanks heaps.
  6. thanks karyc. I'm excited for the guestbook to be here soon. :-)
  7. possibly a thank you card after the wedding.
  8. I'm not doing the tip, but they will seat at the end of the table with the guests or at a separate table, but the same meal, depends on how they prefer, I will email them prior to the wedding date, we only have 1 or 2 wedding planners, and a photographer, so it wont cost too much. I wont do the tip though, I dont think anyone expected, my fiance is a part-time wedding photographer, and we never expect any tip.
  9. I love all the vintage stuff, and we love travel, so the theme will be vintage chic airmails, postacards, and map. Our passport invitation is similar to this.
  10. I'm writing the invitation for our pre-wedding dinner, the place can be both dress up and dress down. What dress code did you have for yours? I'm thiking "casual attire" but it's not really casual. Any idea?
  11. Thanks for sharing cinnagirl, I think I will go with them too. Did you have the tag personalised with guest's name? I'm thinking ordering them and using as a name card for the reception too.
  12. great job, all the guests must be in love with your STDs. :-)
  13. Nice find. Have you ordered from them yet, how is the quality? I'm thinking the favor will be great to use as name tag as well.
  14. Hi All, Just wonder what everyone is doing for their make up trial? I really love one of the hair and make up artist locally, unfortunately I cant "ship" her there in our suitcase, I'm thinking asking if she can do a trial for me, and takes tons of photo for our actual wedding date make up artist to do the same or similar, and I will seek her advice so that I can do the hari & make up myself for the formal shoot. Has anyone done anything as such? I will be in our wedding location for one day in April this year, and our wedding is not until July next year, hence I'm sure if I should do hair and make up trial early or few days before the wedding date. Also, we will take formal shoot the day after the wedding to avoid all the stress and be with our guests more, just wonder whar everyone is doing?
