  1. these look fantastic! I know my FI will probably be doing a lot of the cutting & folding, since he has a LOT more patience than me.
  2. These are great! We're doing the boarding pass invites, and I'm guessing it's going to take a lot of patience (which I don't have, but thank goodness my FI does)
  3. These look great! I'm planning on doing something similar, and saw that Aylee's Bits has the free (plain) boarding pass on the site, but nothing more. Did you contact her directly for the design?
  4. Weight Watchers is definitely a good way to go. You're eating healthier and not starving yourself. The progress can be slow, but that's the healthy way to lose anyways. My FI and I are doing WW Online. I'm not a meetings person...I don't think I could handle going to them and listening to other people talk about food. So the online thing works well. Plus, the online tracker is really great.
  5. I have about 13 months and I'd like to lose 30-40 pounds, but I'll settle for 20-30. I do like that Weight Watchers feels a lot healthier than anything I've done before. I'm eating less, but I'm not starving myself like I have in the past. In fact, there are days where I feel like I'm eating constantly. Thank goodness for those 0-point foods, huh? I lost another 1/2 pound last week, so I guess that's better than the previous 3 weeks. 9 months for 10 pounds- you'll definitely get there! ~Jess
  6. Has anyone had difficulty getting ahold of someone at the resort? I'm just trying to find out about availability and getting the process started, but I'm not getting any response. I tried the email address Alicia gave me, but still no response. Is it normal for them to take a few days to respond to an initial inquiry?
  7. I'm getting Twinrix and malaria medication, but only because I have a very sensitive stomach and my doc is pretty much insisting. And considering I had a pretty bad case of salmonella last month and my fiance ate the same thing but only had a very mild case, I think, for me, all of the recommended meds are a good idea.
  8. I didn't realize their site was just out of date. I would love pricing on both. thanks. Do you know anything about Julia Eskin. I looked at her site and her work is amazing, but I'm still waiting to hear back from her.
  9. Haha.....I'm totally trying to get everything dome right now. I guess the excitement hasn't worn off yet :-)
  10. I LOVE your TTD shot!! such an awesome shot of you guys!
  11. Hi everyone....I'm getting married next spring in DR and was wondering if anyone has started looking into the legalities? How early can we get all of the documentation? I'd prefer to do it right away if possible and have one less thing to worry about.
  12. thanks Domincan Ally! Does anyone have suggestions for excursions/activities outside of the resort?
  13. oh, and I've been trying to motivate myself to go to zumba....I'm just afraid that I'll look like a total fool
  14. Hi everyone- we haven't set a date yet, but we're looking at March or April 2013 in the Dominican Republic. I've gained about 25 pounds since I met my fiance and he's gained about 35, so we're both doing Weight Watchers. I also do 40-60 mins cardio 3- 4 times a week, yoga once a week, and a cross-training class once a week. So far I've lost only a half a pound in 3 weeks . I have a thyroid disease, so it's always going to be an uphill battle. that, plus the fact that I get uncontrollable cravings lol. I could really use the motivation. I want to try on dresses, but not at my current size. Looks like I have to wait a while to dress shop. Most of all, I want to be healthy when I get married (plus, I don't want to be a fat bride)
  15. I tried it....it's brutal (and I cursed at her the whole time), but it was a good workout
