ISO: May 2013 Bride - Virtual Work Out Buddy
RollerBride replied to MissBubbles205's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
i found these today too! my buns are a trouble spot for me and I've been doing tons of squats and lunges this past week (last month too) to make up for being a slacker for a week. I'm going to pick up the april calendar tonight on the April 19th workout! -

We sent out about 120 invites i think. We wanted 40 people, tops so it looks like it all worked out

This is a great thread. Since I'venever been married before I can't tell if this is a general issue or a DW issue! lol I can only give my experience. we are less than 2 weeks from leaving for our trip. We still have 1 guests who has confirmed that they will be there, but has not booked anything. it's kind of frustrating because if this 1 person does not come, we will go down a table and have to redo the seating chart. We have done plenty of follow up with friends and family to see if they are coming. We mainly used email and facebook. We also sent out mass emails with updates from our Wedding Website. We went from 40 people confirmed to 31 (which may go down to 30). It has been a little disheartening when guests RSVP'd months and months ago, were given pricing, a travel agent etc, and decide they can't make it because they tried to book on their own but prices never went down like they had anticipated. AS you get more into the planning and your date gets closer and closer, you begin to realize, it doesn't matter so much. There are already so many unknowns about a DW, that you begin to accept them. lol My way of coping with my issue: I will just prepare a 2nd seating chart for the 30 people if the 31st person ends up not coming. Boom, done, champagne!

When to give bridesmaid gift
RollerBride replied to avramnanan's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I sent my MOH a cover-up that said "Maid of Honor" when i asked her to be my MOH. As for her other gifts, I will give them to her the night before the wedding at our rehearsal dinner. -
I went back East (live out West now) for a GFs wedding. i was a bridesmaid. i was pretty drunk. We were walking to the after party and he proposed on Broad Street. I felt kind of bad getting engaged at my gf's wedding, but apparently she insisted that he do it while we were all together so we could celebrate.

Aw shoot. Now I'm concerned :/ I emailed Lorena and asked her to send me more pictures if possible. Does anyone else on here happen to have some pictures of Desires? I' mildly worried now, and considering that we are so close, all the other Cocktail Hour locations are probably reserved so i don't think there is much I can do about it at this point even if we did want to change it. I guess I'll just have to trust that everything will turn out awesome.

I used the resort map on the Dreams website as a guide to judge how far it is....it's a little far and I get your concern. i guess I didn't really think about it too much, i just wanted somewhere cool. I think it will be OK though, everyone will probably go hang out at another bar or go to their room to freshen up while we have photos taken any way.

Yamina gave us 2 indoor options: 1. Desires (she referred to it as the Sportsbar....hmmmmmm lol). She said, "The furniture that you see on the picture of the Desires is the one that we have already there." 2. The Ballroom. She said (in May) "The cocktail hour at the ballroom we only setup high tables with white linens. The brown lounge furniture has a cost of $400 usd + 11% tax."

Oh man, what a relief about customs! So glad it all worked out. I need to go through all my emails and get my receipts printed out just in case. I'm so jealous of the Master Suite upgrade too!! i keep reading about all these room upgrades, I hope it happens for us but i'm trying to not get my hopes up and just be happy that we will have a preferred club room that we booked. HAVE FUN!!!

Our wedding is in 2.5 weeks. Due to the heat, we opted to have our Cocktail Hour inside Desire lounge. We are hoping it will be nice and cool in there! To me its a little awkward having a big jacuzzi in the middle of an area where our guest are supposed to mingling and DRINKING. Also, we are inviting children. It will be a nightmare if one of them fell in =/ I like the idea of lounge chairs on the beach but I am worried about privacy as well as the HEAT (my wedding will be in August). Quick question... If I or you opted for lounge chairs on the beach, do we have to pay to rent the chairs, tables, lanterns, etc.? I really hope not.

I'll try to help the best I can by sharing my experience. I got my chair sashes from Weddinglinensdirect.com. I spent about $40-50 total with S&H. I thought about getting overlays or runners also, but just didn't find it necessary. i might get some fake petals or beads to sprinkle on the table. still not sure yet. Shoes. I'll be barefoot for the ceremony and probably for most of the reception too. In case I need something, i got these cute little flip flop/sandals. they are just my style: http://www.zappos.com/volcom-check-list-white flowers: i only have my MOH, so I didn't stress too much about having to pay $60 for her bouquet. I know some brides on here have brought their own. One recently posted pictures of her wedding and she used some sort of "real touch" fake flower and they looked INCREDIBLE!!! Maybe try searching the entire BDW site for DIY bouquets for ideas? Spa: it is costing me $120 for hair and makeup for my MOH at the spa. That is the cost with tax. I forget the breakdown for the actual cost of the hair and the make up seperately. I'm sorry. But if you are purchasing a wedding package, you are entitled to 15% off spa services, so it should really cost me $102, but i will have to tip so i will most likely spend the $120 anyway Centerpieces: They start at $80/each i think. I chose Maya23. That one is $80. plus 11%tax I hope this helps
