  1. Hey, We were told that the reception, including dinner, is 3 hours total. The DJ isn't included in the pkg anymore, you can only substitute it instead of using the live music- but PIlar will only give you TWO hours of DJ service, and you have to pay to extend it. $15/pp is to extend the ROOM itself and the staff that come with it, I'm not sure about the additional cost to have the actual DJ there. I'm sure that's extra, as everything seems to be So we've ended up with a 7pm dinner (using an ipad for dinner music AND paying $150 to rent a sound system for it), and then 2 hours of DJ service after dinner- which totally sucks. I hope the disco is open! Kristen
  2. We opted out of increasing the cake and the hors d'oeuvres as well as the champagne without a problem! Just email Pilar back and tell her not to increase and she'll take it off your invoice, she did for us Kristen
  3. Hi Michelle, Pilar told us we can choose from any menu since we got the Divine pkg. We did exactly that- same salad and soup, choice of two entrees, plus a veggie option. Same dessert for all. Here are the menus: F&B OPTIONS-1.pdf oficial gluten-vegetariano-1.pdf
  4. gorgeous! I just msgd her for bridesmaid bouquets )
  5. Yes! I am located in Canada and was able to bounce back and forth between the two sites, it put everything on one shopping cart and I could use all promos On an aside, I only placed the order online on Sunday and it's arrived today! I'm at work though- I will post pics tonight when I pick the stuff up! Also a tip- you can't order the same freebies in order- ie. 100 free postcards; I wanted two types, so I ordered a set in one order and then I placed another order to get diff't ones- you get dinged for shipping twice, but it's worth it, based on getting everything free )))
  6. Can I interject here, even though I'm not a past bride? LOL! Food for thought (literally), the meals all come with a dessert as well, so we did not increase the wedding cake. I've read reviews on here that say there was leftover cake, so that seems like a waste. And we also are not upping the hors d'oeuvres because 15 of our guests are in the wedding party and will be with us doing pics etc- so that's something to think about. Also, we need to remember that we're at an all-inclusive resort and there's lots of options if people want to snack. It's so stressful, worrying about these things, when in reality, i dont think people will care or notice. Speaking of- we now have my brother-in-law deciding he wants to come (originally didnt think he could get the time off work). 8 weeks out. so frustrating!!! And we also have a guest coming that used to work with Anthony, I have met him once. Who does that? I feel like the destinaiton wedding is supposed to be small and intimate. He was also thinking of inviting some dude on his hockey team that I have never met and I put my foot down. Come ON. !!!!
  7. I have a question about the vegetarian menu. I have it already, but emailed Pilar to ask if those people also get their own soup and appetizer and dessert, or if they just get to choose a different entree. Her response was FIND ATTACHED HTE VEGETARIAN OPTIONS YUO CAN SELECT THEIR MENU Does that mean the entire menu or just the entree?
  8. Hey Shannon, She told us that it is included for one event only- the ceremony and reception being two separate events We tried, believe me. I asked her why we couldn't reserve the sound system at 4pm and return it at 8pm (for "one" event" but she said no, because it would involve set-up at two separate locations. Boo...
  9. Hey There, I don't know about the chair pricing, as we stuck with the banquet chairs & covers- we're trying to skimp whereever we can! About the music: We traded out the live music for the DJ- 2 hours of service. So we're using an ipad for the ceremony (AND paying $150 + tax fee)- yep they charge you for that. We're using the ipad for the first hour of the reception (for dinner, 7-8pm), then the DJ is coming at 8, staying until 10pm. I couldn't believe they are charging us for the sound system for the ceremony, but we've gone back and forth numerous times with Pilar, and our agent has as well, and no luck. I've attached my invoice here below- this is after we cut back on so much stuff that we didn't want to, but we really couldn't afford all the extras we wanted
  10. We also are using an outside photographer, and have invited them for dinner as a good gesture, but it's not expected, I don't think- though I've heard some put meals in their contract.
