    We are getting married at GCR on July 26, 2013, and are having the ceremony in the Gazebo, with a cocktail hour on the beach, and then reception in the ballroom. I've had great experiences so far with the WC's at the resort.

    This is a beautiful dress, but I agree about the ruffles, it is higher than the original dress, and you may not be happy with it.

    I got mine done by Amanda at the Little Bean Shop on Etsy - great to work with, and I may have to have another designed to compliment this one.

    so many great ideas!! right now, I'm planning on getting a cashier's check for each of the BM's for $500 to help with the cost of their travel, and we are buying all the dresses for the BM's, and outfit's for the GM's. I would like to also try and find a silver starfish pendent necklace for the BM's, but that can wait until early next year.

    I'm starting to make a list of items I'm going to be including in the OOT bags, so I can purchase them over the next year. Are you all doing one OOT bag per guest, or are you doing one per room? I saw someone post earlier about doing a separate kids bag, and this is an incredible idea, so I'll have to find some items to put in those as well.

    Thanks!! I go in mid April to David's Bridal to try on some different styles of dresses, and will check to see if they have them at my location so that I can try them on.

    Another 2013 Bride - July 2013, and it seems like it's so very far away!! Even crazier that I am planning this so far in advance, but it's fun, and exciting to see my Fiance getting so involved in all of the planning details. We have booked our DW at the Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun!

    Hi Carly, We ended up deciding on the Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun. Date has been confirmed, and we are just waiting on the contract to come through so that we can put the deposit down. Now the real fun begins

    I am totally not talented at wearing heels, so am only planning on wearing them strictly for the ceremony, and then will promptly be putting on flip flops. What do you all think of these? I realize the heels are quite simple, but should be perfect for the dress I have in mind.

    thanks for the info - I've contacted the Little Bean Shop to create mine as well, though it might look very similar to yours since these are the colors I'm using, and I love the starfish on it :-)

    Thanks everyone! We now have the date, hotel, and TA confirmed - now it's just a matter of planning the details. I'm so surprised that I was only able to find one review for the FA Condessa - they have such amazing reviews for the property itself on many sites. I'm dealing with Mariana as my WC, and she has been amazing so far, with great information.
