  1. OK Seriously ladies! Last week of November!!! For me only 5 more days of work until we head off to CUBA!!
  2. It's always tough deciding, Maybe flight itinerary or prices could help you to pick. In the end it's a shot in the dark, you never know exactly what your gonna get and probably either one would turn out great. Good luck
  3. Lol, I definitely want some for the honeymoon. I'm thinking ill check out Victoria's Secret and maybe princess lingerie, I'll let you know where I have the best luck! Getting so excited now, I've only got 3 weeks till we leave
  4. What about a shopping day? Or parasailing, or catamaran/snorkelling? I agree I'm not into the spa day, So I'm thinking ill just hang with the girls by the pool or beach and grab a nice lunch or dinner together.
  5. I really don't know...I'de probably have to take a day off, and enlist some help though!! I'm considering it..I think it would be worth it!
  6. OK I just found an amazing DIY project..am I crazy to take this on NOW? Only a month to go! Google - DIY Wax Paper Garland and it'll come up..I can't get it to open on my work computer or I'de post a link for you guys.
  7. I stayed at this resort a couple years ago when it was Occidental royal hideaway ensenacho's. Amazing, I loved it!!! But it was adult only then so not an option for my wedding. You ladies made a great choice!
  8. I'm not feeling pressure, I'm just excited!! Starting to get excited feedback from guests too!
  9. I went all out, we bought our bridal parties outfits, we gave them each $250 off the trip, Then I let the girls get their own shoes and earrings, and I am going to give them bracelets to wear for the wedding. I I probably went way overboard but I also wanted to spoil them. Anyway, It's up to you, just remember being a bridesmaid is expensive and add travel on top of it, so that's why I did so much.
  10. welcome saves a! Nice to have a fellow Cuba Bride on here!
  11. I've got 5 weeks left, i need to start getting my self prepped! I need to get waxed - any recommendations? I want someone awesome at it I need a spray tan- I'll do a trial early November and then If it goes well ill do a second one the week before the trip. lingerie- thisis hard because I've never really worn lingerie for FI and so I don't know what he likes. I booked eyelash extensions at indigo lash Lounge in mill woods I want to get a deep conditioning hair treatment and then also go in late November for a color and cut I still need a bit of makeup to bring with me That's just the stuff to make sure I'm bride ready!! Am I crazy?
  12. I'll be posting pictures after my wedding so you can see how it looks long before your wedding!
  13. We are having deep purple BM Dresses, grey suit pants, white shirts and purple ties and shoes for the guys...so cool we pretty much have the same idea! My groom is wearing a vest and green shoes/tie to stand out. But yeah, sleeves rolled up their forearms for sure..sexy look!
  14. Good! I'm happy it worked out for you Jolene!
  15. Personally I didn't want to put my AHR info with my wedding info cause I don't want people to skip the wedding and just come to the AHR. I'm sending AHR invites out now, about 5 weeks before my wedding and 4 months before AHR
  16. My new favourite thing is cauliflower soup: Boil 1/2 a head of cauliflower in low sodium chicken or veggie broth. (About 2 cups of liquid) until you can easily pierce the cauliflower with a fork. Purée in blender until creamy consistency Add real bacon bits, cheese crumbles and green onions. If you want, add I can of diced white potatoes if you're not too worried about carbs. I do this and it still isn't too bad when divided out among 4 servings. It's delish!
  17. Mud cards is from Israel, Whe I got mine it came in a box with packing peanuts and its pretty sturdy, I think it'll be fine for travelling.
  18. I got the cake topper from a seller on eBay called mud cards. It was about 130 too I think. My fi loves pirates and he said he wanted to be a pirate on our wedding day so I'm surprising him with this.
  19. I agree, planning a wedding in another country is incredibly difficult. People always say oh it must be so stress free.. Ummm no.. There are language barriers. Travel restrictions, we have to literally carry our dress, our favours, our decorations, and all our dependent guests through airports and listen to them whine while we're at it. I've run into a few pitfalls but now that I'm only a month and a half away from the wedding I've decided it'll be whatever it will be. I still end up just as married. I get really upset when people say "it must be so much cheaper". Seriously, what's it to you what we are paying..and not only that but we aren't doing it here because it's cheaper, we're doing it here because our families don't conveniently live in the same spot we do, they are spread out and they also haven't met. I CAN say that I lay guilt trips on FI more now that we're engaged but he hasn't done much of anything to help planning so I'm getting resentful.
  20. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just a surge of excitement..I couldn't keep it inside any longer!
  21. Awesome! I didn't even know that existed! Good find! I booked my AHR brunch this past month, we're doing it at the St Albert Inn..great deal for brunch and the food was good too.
