  1. Yay! Congrats! I know everyone will love them. They looked AMAZING! I need to double check my day passes too now... I hope everyone starts booking as soon as they get your invites! Heres hoping for 75+ rooms nights!
  2. Thanks Coco! I just emailed you! I will keep my fingers crossed that this works!
  3. Oh my GOSH!!! I LOVE looking at pictures of MP weddings!! Especially yours...hee hee! I'm so super excited to have pictures like this of my very own! You guys are the BOMB!
  4. I LOVE looking at these pictures! It never gets old. I know that my mom is SO not thrilled with the idea of "trashing" my dress, but for such incredible pictures I think its worth it! Who says your dress would be totally "trashed" anyways! Well lets hope for MY sake that my dress would stay nice so my mom doesn't give me a good beating! HaHaHa!!! I'm so excited to work with you Matt! I'm just counting down the days until you work your magic!
  5. Oh my gosh! You totally reminded me I need to update my website as well! Ughhh its so much work! I feel like I'm missing something.... ALSO! So I have emailed Marvin 3 more times with changed topic lines to make sure its not mistaken as spam, and even tried emailing Adam (also on their website), but NOTHING!! I'm getting worried because I haven't heard from him since July 1st, and I want to give him a deposit so he holds our date! We are getting closer, and with 4 1/2 months left, its getting a little too close for comfort. Do you have another email for him? I have [email protected]
  6. Haha THANKS!!! That makes me feel a lot better! I hope it will inspire everyone else too!
  7. We are trying to decide between International (#1), Cajun, French, Italian, or Roman. Its so hard because there are things on each menu that sound REALLY yummy! Does anyone know what MP said about adding something from one menu? Is it just for the Hors D'Oeuvres? What are people planning on getting for the HDs?? I'm thinking either the Mexican, International, or Superior... Dan wanted the BBQ Buffet, but I said NO WAY am I attempting anything like ribs in my WHITE dress!!! Haha! I know I read people's reviews on food, but now I can't remember who said what and when! I will have to go back to the reviews page...
  8. Thank you! WHOA! I just noticed how big the pictures were...sorry ladies!
  9. Hey ladies!!! Ok, so I have finally gotten my act together and taken pictures of our invites! I should be sending them out tomorrow. There are a few people I hand delivered these to, and my Uncle Mark for instance said "I think this is the coolest wedding invitation I have EVER seen"! YAY!!! Score!!! Now lets hope that it will inspire my guests to get there butts in gear and BOOK a dang room already! 141 days to go and hardly ANYONE has even put their initial deposit down....I'm flyin blind here! Well I will be leaving this Sat for MT to see my parents and hopefully get some wedding stuff done. I think we are going to try and match up some chair sash samples to fabric for the table runners I want to make, maybe experiment with Wonder Vases for centerpieces, OOT bag items (no sales tax in MT!!), and maybe do some paper crafts like labels or guest book table sign. Here are some pics I took of my Passport Invites + Boarding Pass RSVP postcard, and Envelope (sorry about the bad quality/color...my camera is misbehaving)!
  10. Thanks Shan! I was so torn between doing Boarding Passes or Passports for invites! Rebecca gave me the option to have it them BOTH! You can check her out on her Allurements by Rebecca website. They really weren't too bad in price. I think to have any invites made whether they are in this style or not is a good chunk of money...not something I was planning on coughing up the money for. But after attempting to make my own, I decided it was worth the money to not have to stress over them. The nice thing she does, is offer you 25% off for a DIY option! She does all the designing and printing, then you just cut them out and assemble them yourself! Not a bad option! We were going to do the DIY option, but life got hectic and I was feeling the time pressure, so I decided to just pay the extra and have her assemble them.
  11. WOW ladies!!! I think its maybe been a week or so since I have been on here and BAM there are like 50+ new posts to read! You guys have been busy busy bees! Ok, so I have finally gotten my act together and taken pictures of our invites! I should be sending them out tomorrow. There are a few people I hand delivered these to, and my Uncle Mark for instance said "I think this is the coolest wedding invitation I have EVER seen"! YAY!!! Score!!! 12. I totally agree!!! If you are feeling SUPER EXTRA generous even a template!!!! I know I for one would be very grateful since I have been just racking my brains and just completely lost on that end...Oh how I wish I was crafty like you and so many other brides on here!!! Hahaha!
  13. Ted- Del Sol is pretty pricey, but have you checked out their sister company La Luna? (Check out their blog too) They have the same amazing artistic style and vision as Del Sol, but at a more affordable rate!! I can honestly say that working with the Del Sol/La Luna team has been an absolute PLEASURE! They are all so sweet and really seem to care about you as a person...not just another booking. Unlike our little friends at MP, they are SO fast at responding! Sometimes less than a day!! Both companies have a good relationship with MP, so when I asked if we could purchase 2 day passes and instead was told that I only had to pay the "outside vendor fee" at $388. I was a little disappointed about the higher rate, but all in all it was done without pushing, begging, and arguing over whether or not they could come on site. The MP photogs are Smile Market I believe. This is their Facebook page also. They are so-so...they have some good pictures and they have some that I just cringe when I see them, but they are your typical resort photographers. Nothing to get excited over, but they get the job done! Hope this helps! Good luck!
  14. Jaime- Those look GREAT! I actually think even those are more commonly used, I think yours are the best ones I've seen so far! Simple is a good thing. Plus they are just STDs. You can go more elaborate with your invites if you want. So exciting!!!
  15. Thanks Ladies!!! I actually recieved my invites today! I will take pictures and load them up soon!
  16. Hey Ladies! So I will be expecting a couple packages this week: My passport invites from Rebecca AND my custom barefoot jewelry and hair flower from Redi by Chelsea! I am super excited to get all this stuff in! Both were so amazing to work with. They put up with my craziness about little details and made everything AMAZING! I can't wait to actually hold them in my hands! You can see a sneak peek of my hair flower and my barefoot jewels here! Next up: Finding what tasks I can take home with me to MT for me and my mom to work on together...I have NO clue!!!
  17. Coconoir posted THIS on the MP Wedding Coordinator Questions thread about the Lanterns. So now I'm confused!!!
  18. WHAT?!?! Well CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought Coconoir was given the "OK" do have them.......I still haven't heard back for sure yet, so I guess we will see what they tell me...
  19. Speaking of Marvin.... Has anyone heard from him lately? He emailed me back pretty quickly the first time around when I was inquiring about his service, but my other 2 or so emails have gone unanswered for at least a month! He said he would do our flowers, but I still haven't put a deposit down to hold our date!
  20. I am using Juan from Del Sol for our wedding day photography, and I never said anything about the contract. Recently I sent a big list of questions, and one of them was if I could just purchase 2 day passes for them. Unfortunately it isn't going to be as cheap as 2 passes would have been, but its not too far off. We just have to pay an outside vendor fee for each vendor we bring in. Del Sol and La Luna have a really good relationship with Palace Resorts, so I think that has helped make it pretty easy to get them in. I didn't even have to argue or push it at all! We're even having Marvin do our flowers on the down low...he is practiced in being very stealth about it! Haha! Good luck!
  21. Coco- WOOOOOOOOOOW! Your invites are so beautiful! I bet you are so excited to send them out! Girl you are so on top of your game! I am MILES behind you and have only 5 months left! AHHHHH! I better get my game face on! I should be getting mine hopefully by the end of the week or beginning of next and sending them out pretty much right after! I did mine with Allurements by Rebecca. She has been so awesome to work with too! We decided to go with a more "traditional" cover for ours, but I LOVE how colorful yours are! Everyone will be so excited to go once they get these for sure!
  22. I LOOOOOOVE it! Those pictures are incredible and the acknowledgment well deserved! With La Luna being such a reasonable price anybody would be CRAZY to miss out on award winning photography! Congrats to Del Sol AND La Luna for your accomplishments in breathtaking photography! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. They are very cute! Although if you keep your eye on ideeli.com, Henkaa and Ravon come up frequently (as well as some others) and are MUCH cheaper! I ordered my BM's dresses for $69 a piece (originally $198)!!! With such a great price it was hard to pass up and spend more on something else.
  24. How did you ladies actually get your on-site WC assigned to you?! I feel like I have been pressing for this and they keep telling me "90 days before the wedding date". What did you ladies actually say to get one so early? I'm not even THAT far from 90 days!
  25. Well Moon Palace confirmed we are allowed to have the Wish Lanterns!!!! Yay! Now I just need to figure out how many we will need, look for the best prices, and figure out how to present them at the reception! I was thinking about using a basket or something to put them in...and I think the little wish jar is a great idea! Any ideas/thoughts?
