  1. WOW! This looks so great! I thought about doing my own, but decided I wasn't creative enough for that! Looks like you are well on your way to having some amazing barefoot jewelry! I can't wait to see your finished projects!

  6. Thank you. We both need LOTS of prayers! I'd be an absolute wreck without her! She is without a doubt the dog of my life...Thank you for your love and prayers!
  7. It was so much fun working with you! You are the BEST! I can't wait either! Much better than my crappy photos!
  8. Coming from you makes me feel even more accomplished! Thank you! I still have a lot of work ahead of me!
  9. Thanks again! We sent out our invites around the same time, so I am in the same place! I totally agree. I have put enough time and energy into the STDs and invites, as well as reminder emails. If they are caught off guard I know it wasn't my fault at least! I haven't decided on when I am going to send our pre-travels out yet. I'm thinking once I get an RSVP I might send it right out, or wait until January. I definitely need to just get the brochure going at least. I'm terrible at that stuff so I will need all the time I can get! Now I need to decide if I want to pay for Vistaprint, or if I want to come up with them on my own... I have decided on flowers!! I am putting together a list of specific flowers like you suggested and more pictures with the flower/colors. I hope he "gets" it! Haha! I will send it your way ASAP! You are the BEST!
  10. While I was back home my mom and I decided to try and tackle some wedding stuff. The main stuff we wanted to focus on were the OOT bags and the decor. It was SO tough and we didn't even come close to finishing, but we got a good start! The first day we drove to all the different stores (Target, Walmart, Costco, Dollar Plus) to price some of the various items. We also spent hours upon hours at Michaels and Joann Fabric trying to get some good ideas for decor/oot etc. For the OOT bags we ended up just buying a few things that were good deals for now, and working on getting the other stuff later once we got a better idea how many were coming. Travel Lint Roller- $1 per 2 pack @ Dollar Plus Wrist Coils- $1 per 2 pack @ Dollar Plus (not in any particular colors I liked, but it was a good deal so I just said "screw it"!) Motrin- approx $12 per 50 count packet box @ Staples Lens Cleansing Wipes- approx $6 per box of 30 @ Walmart Not pictured here: Glow Stick Jewelry- $1 @ Michaels Hand Sanitizer- $1 @ Target (I found a better deal elsewhere, but they were cute and had a few scents) While I was home I also made the decision to change up my color scheme slightly. I had ordered convertible dresses for my 3 sisters in pink a while back. I liked the idea because my 2 younger sisters are incredibly tiny and couldn't fit into even size 0 at most places we went to and I didn't want to pay a ton to have alterations done, AND the fact they could all wear it how they wanted to. I HATED the color of pink it was when they arrived, and because the return policy sucked I wasn't able to return them, so I was just going to suck it up and use them anyways. Turns out it is the hardest color to match or even compliment! My mom suggested I look at getting them a neutral color like silver/gray instead. The next day I found a silver Suzi Chin dress at a great price! $49 on ideeli.com After I ordered these I was free to change my colors! I decided I wanted to go for a more "antique/vintage" look, so I changed my shades slightly: Paper from Joann Fabric We worked on things like table numbers, the OOT bag, OOT bag labels, and tea light holders. The frames are just some my mom had that I used as a reference and to see what it would look like. After lots of shopping, we decided that we didn't want to spend the extra money on canvas totes and instead use gift bags. To add a little something extra we used a stencil and some silver metallic paint on them. (The pic is just a trial...we haven't decided on a design yet!) Labels were kind of put on the back burner since our computers weren't working well with the template download. We got several tea light holders and decided to just experiment with some paint, crystals, pearls, and lace. I wanted a "frosted" look to hide potential LED candles if it was too windy for real candles. (The pink ribbon will either be replaced with nicer satin ribbon or none at all) I had ordered the Wonder Vases to play with and see how they looked for centerpieces. NOPE!! They looked pretty tacky and I didn't trust they would stay up. I think we decided on using Blume Boxes to put our bouquets in and use as centerpieces. I like this idea for the Blume Box decor- OK ladies! I think this was about it! Not done with anything yet, but I am at least headed in some direction! Thanks for all your inspiration and support! Love to all!
  11. Thanks. Its been tough, but I'm hoping its just an easy fix. She seems fairly happy/normal otherwise! This was her last night before we went to the bday party: Thats great!! You probably would have regretted decreasing later. We talked about doing the same with our Playacar Palace stay for the 5 days after the wedding. I was starting to FREAK about how much the wedding was going to cost (especially if we didn't reach our 75 nights) and thought we should cut it down or cut it completely to save money. In the end though we decided that this is a once in a lifetime thing, and even if we got to do it at another date it wouldn't quite be the same. GOOD going FI! You will be in HEAVEN when you get there! You are on a roll! WooHoo!! Oh man the dress is almost here!! Eeeek!!! I'm so excited for you! I need to try mine on again...its been almost a year!! Have you sent out any pre-travel brochures out yet? I need to start mine ASAP!!!
  12. Hi!!!!!!! Thanks lady! Things have been good for the most part! Crazy, but pretty good. Every time I get back from a few days off I just get SLAMMED at work. Then it was more work from my house (I'm an Esthetician, and I do Lash Extensions on the side), a birthday party for a couple co-workers, AND unfortunately my baby girl Bianca (Shih Tzu mix) had to be taken to the vet early yesterday morning for testing. She may be in the early stages of kidney failure...OR diabetes. I'm completely crushed by it. She is the LOVE of my life and my baby. We have an incredibly close bond since I had her at 4 weeks old so I'm definitely her mommy. Other than that everything else is good! Wedding planning is going well and I got quite a bit done while I was in MT. I'm at least feeling a little more relieved now that I have gotten a good start on some of those projects! How are things your way?!?
  13. Right before I left for MT I got a VERY special package from Red-i by Chelsea! YAY!! I She did such an amazing job not only on all the accessories, but she even made the labels and BOX that it all came in look incredible! I know my sisters are going to LOVE their barefoot jewelry. I'm so excited to give it to them too....I don't know if I can wait until we are there!! I wanted to go for a beachy inspired look to the jewelry instead of matching them to our colors. I just really liked the look of the more organic stones/gems. Mine have a bit more "bling" to them, but they all tie in quite nicely! It was actually HER wedding foot jewelry that made me want to get some, so I went for that look and boy did she DELIVER!! Thank you Chelsea for putting up with my craziness and making something so beautiful! You are amazing and talented, and you know I will be coming to you for all my future custom made jewelry!!

Been working my booty off the last few months with this (literally, haha... although not too much since my FI says I can't loose too much back there, LOL)! Happy Planning this week, ladies!! xoxo 1) YAY for room bookings! We are STILL waiting for people to book! UGHHHH! The invites went out 2 weeks ago and still no new bookings and 3 "NO" RSVPs. Man we both only have 4 months left! Our guests need to get their butts in gear! LOL 2) WooHoo!!! Good job!! I know how hard that can be. I've been struggling to do that for YEARS! I can't imagine you'd have anything else to lose on your trim self! Quote: Originally Posted by Jamie5280 OK! Not really a big fan of them and despise the garter & bouquet toss but then I found a way to make it fun. Well FI loves the Cowgirls I mean Cowboys Haha.. and I'm a Steelers girl all the way (I went to College in Pgh. started Grad school there, had my son there, etc...so I lived there for a good 10years). We can't stand each other's team and to top it off many of his friends are coming like the Steelers and some the Cowgirls so this will be fun... the end product is pictured below. The left side is the Girls and the right side is the Best Team Ever....The Black and Yellow! Look at you go with your bad self! Hahaha! You are the DIY queen! I bow down to you! Great job! You are so creative. I don't know how you do it! Great job! I can't wait to see what your invites look like! Another bridesmaid decided to book elsewhere because it was cheaper ;-() I have 2 other possible guest that RSVP and send their card back but didn't book yet... I'm mean really just hold on to the darn thing until you are decided. UGHhhhhh So since our invites went out we only added 1 new book. Of course we never knows whose actually going to go until its deadline time. we were really pushing for unlimited events but at least we will get something! Depending on what the final count is, we very well may change the "welcome dinner" to a welcome get together so that we don't have to eat the cost. Enough of me gripping how's everyone's planning coming along This has happened to us too. FI's step-mom and her 2 sons (his half brothers and 2 of our groomsmen) decided she couldn't stay the 6 nights she originally booked, and cut their stay down to 3 nights! Thats just crazy if you ask me...I mean if you are spending the money to fly all the way there you might as well get a good stay while you're there!! They will be missing out on a lot of our events/activities as well. Oh well... I'm PRAYING that we reach the 75 room nights. To do all the things we want would cost a bunch extra so we would probably have to skip some events as well.
  15. I know what a tough decision that is! It took me DAYS of searching through photographers in the Riviera Maya area and looking at countless photo galleries. But I just kept going back to Del Sol and La Luna! Their photos just STUCK in my mind. Every time I looked at another photographer I would compare their photos to Del Sol or La Luna's. After realizing that, it was just a matter of contacting them and getting quotes. I knew that photography was one area I was NOT willing to compromise, and would rather spend a good chunk of money on that as opposed to an expensive dress, jewelry, shoes, centerpieces...etc. Melissa handles all the initial questions/inquires/bookings for both companies, so it made it super easy. She is so sweet and helpful. By far the most pleasant person I have been in contact with during wedding planning process. Even just choosing a photographer within the companies was tough since they are all amazing. In the end we decided to go with Juan from Del Sol for our wedding day pictures and Matt for our TTD and can't be MORE excited! I really believe you get what you pay for and with both La Luna and Del Sol you KNOW you are going to get top notch, magazine worthy pictures as well as have great customer service and life long friends! I have never heard even ONE negative from any bride about either company. They are simply the BEST!!!
  16. Hi Ladies! First off WOW! You all are doing so many amazing things! I can't believe how beautiful everything is. You guys are doing such fantastic jobs and are inspiring me on a daily basis! Second- I am still out of town (in MT doing some wedding stuff with my mom), but I have LOTS to share when I get home! I got my amazing barefoot jewelry and hair flower from Red-i by Chelsea this week! They are absolutely beautiful and I know my girls are going to LOVE them. Even my mom seemed a little jealous...maybe a X-mas present? LOL! I will also hopefully have some OOT and decor stuff done by the time I go back to WA. I even tossed (figuratively of course) out the BMs dresses and bought something TOTALLY different! Lots to do and so little time to do it these days! Keep up the good work ladies, and I will be back to do some more posting when I get home!
  17. Check this one out too! Its a site visit with lots of pictures of different areas. Only one of Tucan I believe though...(we have Tucan reserved for our reception too!) http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/products/moon-palace-golf-spa-resort-all-inclusive/reviews/4676 Quote: Originally Posted by ndvidul Does anyone have any pictures of Tucan Terrace - with or without cocktail hour set up? 18. Awww so sad! I'm sorry for such a major loss. I can't even begin to imagine. You know she will be there watching, and will LOVE that you are keeping her close to you on such an important occasion.
  19. YAY!!! Congrats! Aren't they the BEST?!? I look forward to seeing your wedding through their AMAZING work!
  20. I agree! Either front of the 1st with back of the 3rd, or just 3 all together. Kind of depends on your dress too....I think if its more fancy the braid doesn't quite "GO", but if your dress is more simple/casual the braid would look ok. Braids just make me think more "prom" than "bride". I'm a big fan of the side chignon!!!
  21. Thanks Matt! I know it feel like it has been AGES since I have been on here! I love that I got to browse through A LOT of threads and posts and see how far people have gotten. And then to see these tasty little treats makes my day! TRUE!!! Who says water trashes a dress?!? It would come out cleaner than in went in for sure! I love the way you think...always a creative positive! Now how to figure out how these women look SO graceful...or is that your magic too? Haha!
  22. Oh my gosh! These make me want to CRY!!! Your dad looks so sweet! Awww I bet he is a great daddy! These are absolutely stunning! Everything about your day looked amazing and La Luna captured every single sweet moment! I know you will be looking at these years down the road and still get to relive every moment through these pictures. Congrats!
  23. So I found a cool website for making Inspiration Boards...however they are not high res unless you are a "member"...no fair! But I thought I would put one together and see what it looked like!
