It can be windy..... Some days were more windy than others, but its just so hard to predict. I think that is just something that comes along with the beach wedding. We had some difficulities with my hai in the windy. but no biggie, but that was to be expected if you go into it with those expectations. YES, our wedding the ARCH on the beach was part of the basic package, we got NOTHING extra.......sand ceremony was included which was a huge suprise.....i didnt know that was included. My photographer was AKI Demi, she is 37 yrs old, lives in Cancun, is adorable, loves her job ....spent soooo much time with us.....gave me extra pics and dropped off pics two days after our wedding, came back to the resort......highly recommend her.....She is hands on, very personable, i couldnt be happier...she gave me a DVD of pictures that had over 300 pictures on it and we only had her for 3 hours, but only charged me for two..she is fantastic.. Aki Demi Photography The resort is awesome, its the best ive been at yet. The pool does close up around 5pm, its surprising at first......but two pool bars close and poolside service stops... The service at the pool and ocean during the day is fantastic......couldnt be better....we didnt have to get up for anything except PEE and go eat lunch. We never had a wait at any restaurant, they dont accept reservations. I got the mexican wedding cake, best wedding cake ever....... OK, Hubby saying I spend too much time on puter, wants to watch biggest loser!! I will be back in a lil while to continue.....LOL

Look at my pictures and those are chairs with covers and tulle. I bought my own tulle and they decoreated free of charge (sory spelling super tired righ now) No DJ for me. The gazebo is directly next to the pools.......i got married directly of beach, my pic reflects that..... its a personal preference.... mine was very private, did not have to walk through any guests, there was a private path down the side of the resort no one saw me......the Gazebo is pri in the middle of the pool area, it is beautiful but ppl will be swimming while u are gettin married behind you. as long as you understand that, but trust me you wont even know they are there......ppl are very respectful there. anything else just ask away......glad to help and give back to the forum....

they only set up dance floor at pool side not at gazebo I saw a few weddings set up while i was there and it was fantastic

Girls, We just got married at Secrets on May 5 and I still cant believe how amazing it was....... I KNOW all of you will have a gorgeous wedding..... It was the most amazing time of my life.... Full preview to come soon, as soon as I get a moment to write a really good review. Cecilia was GREAT, she is so calm and professional. Oh, I did get the groomsroom free of charge too... i had very small wedding,no bridal party only 6 guests. Hotel is simply amazing, most beautiful resort I have ever seen with such polite staff and accomadating... Amazing.... Hey diamond, when my body hit that plateau i hit cardio hard core, didnt change my diet so much but did much more intense cardio, not so much MORE cardio but i stepped it up alot...that made a dif. for me. Ok you girls will think i am crazy but i lost interest in going to the gym.,....URGG...thats cuz my body really changed the last month and I am 5'6 and approx. 116 pounds.......so many ppl tell me too skinny, I lost my boobs.... so i DONT wanna lose anymore weight in fact i could prob afford a few pounds ( i never thought my body would drop 18 pounds)...soooo anyway I kno i need to maintain now, but now i dont have this "GOAL" so i lost my drive........and cant find it again. anyone ever struggle with that???? Once you reach your goal you stop going to the gym??

I myself have struggled with making "other" people HAPPY on my day... Its a tough spot to be in.......but as I have grown older I have discovered more on making myself happy and not worrying sooooooo much about doing what "others" want me to do. Its a super tough spot, but look at the anxiety you are going through wanting to please them and feel uncomfortable at your own wedding. I understand that once in awhile you should do for others, I am not saying that... What I am saying is that it is your day.....Make it your day!! I believe the hard core truth can and usually is HARSH, I dont believe a lil white lie is harmful when you use it to spare others feelings. I could be opening a can of worms here, but you reached out and I wanted to let you know that I do not think you should have to wear it. Gently tell them that you had purchased or made one without knowing you were getting one for the shower and hadnt found a way to tell them that and it has taken you this long because you have had such anxiety about it and not wanting to let them down and its important to you that they feel appreciated for what they have done...........I think they will understand completely. Anywayz ladies, that just my lonely opinion....

CRAP a corporate group will be there on April 30th!! Which is a saturday, hopefully they are leaving on Sunday the 1st huh Jenny???? 200 corporate ppl YIKES!! Well I guess the hotel has to be full of people whether they all know each other or not......LOL Whatcha gonna do ya know!! I am there May 1st - 8th.....Sunday thru Sunday. Married on Thursday at 3pm.... I will continue to stay on the forum until I am pretty much ready to leave....

Wow $100 seems like alot to tip a WC. Just my personal opinion tho, I guess it depends on home much you spend on your wedding...... I think its subjective

I cant remember my last update. I have lost about 15 pounds. I am prob a size 2!! And I too look the best I have in a long time and I am 40 years old. I have a small 4pack for a stomach.......the FI loves it. I am going to do my BD shoot on sunday, yikes im nervous.. We leave in 24 days !!!! Altho ive been letting myself have too many treats, my 40th bday was last weekend and I ate at Cheesecake Factory.......and didnt care...LOL My fam had a big party for me.........i had such a nice time. Next is wedding time!!! So much to do in the next 24 days, waxing and tanning, hair, mani, pedi, dress fitting............and GYM of course.....not enough hours in the day. We will all be sad when its over i think, Geez what will I do with my time after the wedding........LOL

Yipeee....wooohooooo, go have a blast........so happy for you!! Wont you be so sad when its over? Cant wait to hear your story when you get back.....

Hmmm?? Tipping the WC........who dont we tip??? Yes, i realize we tip everyone, I still bartend for xtra cash so I appreciate a good tip. Im curious to see the answer regarding the WC?? I dont know what I will PLAN once we return from Mexico.......I wont know what to do with myself.. My dress fitting is this week and my BD Shoot......I am tanning, Yes I tan, but i dont drink or smoke so its my one bad habit... I am with you girls..........the brazilian and mani and pedi and hair and tanning and packing.......GEEZ!! Its been such a blast planning this THO, ill miss it...........

Bella, you and i must be reading the same reviews, I too am concerned about that as well. the week i am going, May 1st, hotel is pretty much sold out........yikes hope its not a corporate thing....but then again,nothing i can really do about it tho........but YES its a concern too

I am having a freak out moment...... Yikes, I have a widget on my droid phone and tomorrow it will read leave in 29 days.......urrgghhh I get so overwhelmed when i travel.... Next sunday is my BD shoot and i have to shop for props still..... I am just soooooooooooooo nervous im gonna forget something BIG for the wedding;;;;;;;seriously panicked today..anybody else.??

Jenny I did alot of research concerning beaches in the Riveria Maya, because beach was super important to me cuz i am a beach person. NO worries we are staying at one of the nicest beaches on the riveria maya, Secrets is known most for its white clear sands........the beach would be the least of my worries BTW I leave in 38 days!! Im nervous to fly! Yikes.....clausterphobic...

thanks for the advice,,,,yeah i dont wanna overwork my body, my FI tells me not to do that........i still am such a big fan of "biggest loser" tho and dont understand how they work out 6 hours a day and NOT use all muscles everyday?????

kiwi, congrats on your progress.. dont worry about your bday, splurge a little, i actually have noticed that once in a while i have a splurge meal and it shocks my body and i still lost weight!! i did it again last nite...........hoping that will still be the case. Enjoy, its your birthday, you deserve it..............
