  1. Thanks for your hard work. Looking forward to the changes!
  2. I say definitely go with a veil one way or another. You'll have other chances to wear flowers or hair pieces, but I doubt you'll ever have another chance to wear a long flowing white veil again!
  3. Very cute and it made me smile! You guys will definitely always remember that. He was already holding my hand when he asked and I was so surprised that I jerked back and the ring bounced away and lodged itself in the mashed potatoes. It was even more embarrassing because he was down on one knee in the middle of a restaurant, so other people saw the whole thing. At least we have a funny story to tell and we will always have vivid memories of that evening!
  4. Haha, I love that you shared this! SO cute and I can totally understand the sentiment. Someone told me that she's going to cut up her old dress (only a few years old) and use it to make a craft box. I was absolutely horrified! So sad . . .
  5. Welcome! Best of luck with your planning.
  6. Great thread. I'm trying to figure out the same things myself. I appreciate that it's a big decision for our guests, but sometimes I wish they would just make up their minds already . . .
  7. Great job. They are really beautiful and I love your color choices. I wish I could get my FI interested in helping with the invites!
  8. Congrats on your upcoming marriage! Both islands are very beautiful, but I personally prefer Maui. Both have some beautiful beaches and hotels, but it can be somewhat difficult to find much of an exciting nightlife on Kauai. For that matter, it's hard to find a restaurant to serve you between 1:30pm and dinner. For that reason, I much prefer Maui for the perfect blend of untouched beauty, laid back island life, and yet some luxuries of city life within reach. But, if that stuff doesn't matter to you, than either would be great choices. Best of luck!
  9. Congrats on your recent engagement and best of luck finding the perfect place. I'm sure you'll find it with help from all the wonderful people here!
  10. Congrats and best of luck with your wedding. Sounds like it will be very special.
  11. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. If you'd like to say a little bit about what kind of wedding you have in mind, it would be easy to make some recommendations for you or point you in the right direction. Regardless, I hope you have a wonderful time and enjoy the planning phase.
  12. Hi April, Congratulations and best of luck with your planning.
  13. Congrats and happy planning from a fellow May 2011 bride!
  14. I clicked on your post because I wanted to send a holler out to another May 2011 bride, but I just read that you decided to change your date. I can totally change that as it seems like next year is suddenly coming much too quickly and there is still far too much to be done. Good luck with the new house and happy planning. I'm sure your Feb 2012 wedding will be even better with the additional time you will have to put into it!
  15. Wow, so amazing that you were able to do such a professional job on nearly your first try. I like everything about your second one your names bolded, except I think I like your names a little off-center of each other. Great job. Now I'm wondering if I should try to take a stab at learning Illustrator.
  16. Congratulations! Maui is my favorite island--great choice!
  17. Hi again, I hope we can get to know one another better since we are both going to be Italy brides! Congratulations on your upcoming marriage. Happy planning!
  18. Hi, I was so thrilled to find your post as I too am in search of other brides who will be getting married in Italy. I will be getting married about 45 min outside of Florence in May 2011. When will you be getting married? How is the planning coming along? Best of luck and thanks for starting this thread!
  19. Oh no! Poor thing. I know you asked for home remedies, but if you have access to a Clinique counter, try their after sun lotion. I swear, it's a miracle worker and has prevented me from peeling and discomfort despite some pretty painful sunburns in the past.
