Brandy were doing Carnival... we always do Carnival other than 2 that Ive done on Norwegian but Im a big fan of the 24/7 ice cream machines that only Carnival seems to have so we keep going back! lol I would like to try another line someday but Carnival had this 2 wk cruise to Hawaii that was cheaper than a 7 day one on Norwegian so that was a no brainer! lol We were originally going to get married in Hawaii as that is our favorite place to go and have been twice to Waikiki but because they dont have all inclusive resorts we decided on Mexico so of course we chose Hawaii for our honeymoon!!! So excited to see all the islands in one trip!

My WC is Elsa and I have it in email stating that you can avoid an outside vendor fee and guest pass if you book them a room. I booked mine a room at the Gran Caribe and its on sale right now so it cost 248 for both the photographer and their assistant.. hope that helps

Well Im glad to see that Im not the only outta control spender! I have 3 days off too and Ive been on this computer all dang day shopping for wedding stuff! I need to stop but I dont have much self control! lol

Hanna, Thats so awesome to see someone else is getting married on a wednesday! What made you pick April 6th? We chose it because its our 6 yr annaversary of when we first met! Hope you will stay on this site with us so we can count down together hehe good luck with everything!!!

Teira that is so funny we are litterally like 15 mins away from each other.. .lol I live in Vancouver but work in Portland.. I hate this weather, it feels like spring! I want snow!!! Im so jealous of all the girls on here who are getting blasted with snow!!! That is my favorite part about winter yet we rarely get to see it here.. so sad!!! Maybe you other girls can send us some this way please?? lol

Lisa, great job on getting more things checked off the list! You definitely have a lot to do with the DW and planning a big AHR..I wish we could afford to have one but we are spending every dollar we have and then some on our wedding/ and honeymoon so no AHR for us Brandy I am a cruise fanantic! My FI and I go on one atleast once a year, sometimes twice! It is our favorite way to travel! The longest one we have been on is a week so doing this 2 wk one will be amazing! We are going to be at sea for almost a wk before getting to the islands so we are going to work on that baby making project! hehe So excited! We actually looked at the one youre doing because I really want to see the southern islands. We have done a lot of Carribean ones also! Love them!!! Laura so excited that your dress is coming along! I hope that once mine is all done and altered I will be happier with it... Im having the train shortened right now because I didnt like the bustle style..so fingers crossed that I made a good decision!

Geez I dont know how you girls can plan an AHR on top of all this wedding planning... I cant even imagine planning another party on top of everything else! You girls rock!!!! Hi Girls, looks like its been a busy day for some in the wedding projects dept! I did some iron on's today with my soon to be MIL. I bought these cute terry cloth swim suit cover ups from Venus.com and then got "bridesmaid and MOH iron ons and stuck them on the butt... Then I decided since I was taking pics of that I would pull out the rest of my lil projects and take pics of those also... I finished the OOT bags for the guys and girls.

btw for those who asked its the "linen suit" material (white) with satin lined in the pants...we did our own measurments but just beware the fabric does not stretch or give so just keep that in mind when you are doing measurements. I think it looks perfect on my FI but if he goes to bend over or hug someone he may rip it so he has to be careful! LOL

Haha boys are so silly sometimes! Definitely entertaining! So we got the shirts from Macys back when it was the end of summer so everything was on clearance, we actually had to find 7 of them because the groomsmen are wearing them also but with white dress shorts. How has the planning process been for you overall? I have been working with Elsa and have already told her I want to pick my onsite coordinator as Ive heard some bad things about Flora and dont want her for my wedding! Make sure you have all your emails printed out so you dont have any issues with getting what you were told prior to getting down there...Im nervous but Im sure it will all end up being wonderful! I cant believe its coming so soon! 2 MORE MONTHS!!! woo woo!!!

I am also getting married at the Royal/Gran Caribe and have been planning since this last June. I did use a TA, actaully one that use to be on this forum. A lot of girls on this forum have used her and she has great reviews. Im not sure I can put her info on here now but if you want more info you can send me a private message. Anyway so that is for booking your trip and for your guests. Then you will want to go to the real resorts website and fill out a contact form. Then you will get a wedding coordinator assigned to you to set up all the details for your wedding. Once you get to the resort you will have a new onsite coordinator to be with you throughout your wedding. Let me know if you have any other questions as Im pretty knowledgeable since being on here and going through the research and planning for the past 9months We are heading down there on April 1st So excited!! Good Luck!!!!

Ok so I told my adorable FI this morning that I was gonna have him put his suit on tonight and I was going to take pics so I could share them with you. Well when I got home he had made a back drop and set up his tripod and took his pics all by himself. He was quite proud of himself! I thought it was adorable! I said how come you dont get this excited when I ask you to do wedding stuff? lol silly boys!!! Ok so hopefully this works...

APOLA, I have been following the Gran Caribe thread as well and am also super nervous about having a bad experience. Ive even emailed my WC and asked if I can request not to have certain on site cordinators..I dont want to have someone that sucks and is not nice! Especially if were goinna spend so much money! Ugh! I will let you know how it goes since Ill be going first! Sounds like Flora is the one who is getting bad reviews... Yikes! Anyway we are getting the free wedding package since were staying in the Presidential suite then just adding some extras like cake and private reception (gazebo terrace) and also DJ Demorixx..Ivan is super nice! He even cut my music for my ceremony I think that part will atleast go smoothly! Just make sure to get everything in writing before you get there and print out all your important emails so you have that if there is a problem! We are hiring an outside photographer, Cecilia Dumas and just booking her a room at the Gran Caribe (cheaper than paying the outside vendor fee) Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly!

Lisa it took about 3-4 weeks for the suit to arrive after placing the order. The shirt was from Macys but it was at the end of the summer so they are all gone now and its not linen... I am going to post pics in a few...
