SSANTOS: Who was your onsite wedding coordinator?

Hi! My FI is wearing a white suit from studiosuits.com with a ocean blue shirt and white flip flops! He tried it on the other day and I was like WOW!!! Seeing him in his outfit will definitely be the best part of the whole day!!! YAY!

I 2nd that... You girls are very inspiring! I need to get my lazy butt up and start moving!!! Im going to strive for 5 days a week an hour a day!!! Thanks girls, You all Rock!!!!

Tiera, We got my FI his suit from stuido suits as well and we just got it and LOVE IT!!! His is all white linen and its super sexy!!! Im really happy with their work and for 100 bucks you cant beat it! Just be careful if you do custom measurements, my FI"s came back more on the snug side but it still looks super flattering on him... You will be happy!!!!

Welcome APOLA I am also staying at the Royal and getting married on April 6th but doing the actual wedding at the Gran Caribe becuase they have more venues for wedding/reception. I know what you mean about being depressed and trying on dresses...I feel that way when I put on my dress right now! I keep finding other ones I like more and its making me sad that Im not super excited about wearing my dress now... I feel fat in it as well and havent been as motivated as I was hoping after the new yr to get my butt back to the gym..Im hoping that I will soon find the motivation!!! Ugh!!! My advice to you is dont settle just to have a dress... Try lots on and think about it..I wish I would have waited because I probably would have picked a different dress! lol Have you decided on your photographer yet? What are your details? So excited to have another Royal bride on here Good luck with the planning, and being on this forum will be a life saver for ya!

Oh Wow, now Im super nervous as to what Ive gotten myself into with this resort..I pray I have a better experience! Sounds like these coordinators really dont care what they have told their brides, they will do what they want to do regardless... Im scared!!! Thanks for your imput!

Claire who is your WC? I have Elsa and she was the one who told me that if my photographer was a guest they wouldnt have to pay the outside vendor fee...Im just not going to say anything and hope they dont give me an issue...I will be upset if they do... Im finding it quite frustrating that now that its a new yr everything is changing and prices are going up and they think they can charge us the higher price even after we have already discussed everything for months prior... Ugh

I would make sure because it was just yesterday she informed me that the price went up and she initially wasnt going to honor the original price but I threw a fit and showed her the email she originally wrote stating it was 850 then this morning she wrote back saying she would honor the lower price.... Thank goodness

I was trying to go through all the chain of messages because I think you posted a ton of very cute flowers and headband decor but I dont know why I cant seem to find it again...I hope it was in this post! lol Anyway I will go to that website and check it out... Leah when in April are you getting married?

Emily, I am using Cecilia Dumas. Her work is amazing but I was like you and didnt want to pay the ridiculous 350 plus guest pass for outside vendor so I just booked my photographer a room at the Gran Caribe for 250 which is way cheaper then paying the vender fee. Hey girls has anyone been told the cost for the DJ has gone up from 850 to 950? I just was told by Elsa my coordinator that it is now 950. Im fighting that because I was told originally it would be 850 and do not want to pay even more!!! Just wondering if anyone else is dealing with that right now. Im thinking prices probably went up after the new year! Blah

Hey girls, I think its been a while since Ive actually posted. I am always reading everyones posts and feel involved but then I realize I havent actually posted in several months. So this is me trying to contribue to the conversations! hehe Ok so I need your help...Im having a really hard time trying to figure out a good hair flower or head band decor to go with my dress. Brandy, I think you are the one who is the super shopper online so maybe you can help! Im also kinda sad cause Im not super in love with my dress but figure its a good fit for a destination wedding but it doesnt make me feel like a princess or anything lol Let me know what you all think and if you have any suggestions. Hi, where are you getting married? Im also an April 6th bride Were doing ours at the Royal in Cancun... Im also in serious workout/eat healthy mode now that the 3 month countdown is here. Im hoping to just loose a lb a week to be at my ideal weight by the wedding! Its hard though to fit in working out every day when Im so deep into wedding planning mode also! lol I would love to hear what others are also doing to see results Congrats on your wedding..we are date twins

Happy New Year Girls... Its been quite a long time since Ive actually wrote on this forum. I am religiously reading the posts though so I figured its time to participate! I am an April 6th bride at the Gran Caribe but also staying at the Royal along with our 31 guests.. I cant believe its only 3 mos away..technically less since were heading down there on the 1st of April...So exciting and stressful at the same time. Still have so much to get done...mostly little projects for the OOT bags. I feel like most of my wedding planning and money is going toward those. I guess I just feel that if people are going to spend that much money to stay with us at the Royal then I should give them something to show how grateful we are. So those bags are sorta taking on a life of their own! lol Anyway Im just working with Elsa (coordinator) to finalize all the details. We are doing the ceremony at the Gazebo and then the reception on the terrace and using the Gazebo for dancing/dj. I originally wanted to do a beach reception but figured this area was almost the beach so we chose that space. Now its time to get my butt back in shape so I can fit into my dress...I have a fitting next weekend which I already know is gonna be painful since Ive gained a bit since I initially tried it on and bought it! Oh btw regarding the photographer and outside vendor fee...incase anyone is trying to decide which route to go, Elsa told me to pay the outside vendor fee its 350 plus the guest fee of 60 each. So if you have a photographer and asst it will cost you 470..... whereas we just decided to book our photographer and asst a room at the Gran Caribe and they can come to our room the day of the wedding no extra charge.. The resort is having a sale again and the room only costed us $248...So needless to say Im happy with my choice! Plus if they stay at the resort then they will be able to do the TTD session on the beach early the next morning Lookin forward to spending the next few months with you all Happy Planning!!!

We were scheduled to do a site inspection during our cruise last mo but because of the hurricanes we werent able to make it up there so now Im nervous about chosing the spots unseen. Our wedding isnt until April so since you have been there and seen the spots (gran caribe gazebo and terrace next to it) could you tell me or send me some pics on the areas? Youre big day is right around the corner..so exciting! I would love to stay in touch with you and get some info to ease my mind oh btw how many guests do you have coming? We are having 32, do you think that the terrace area is the right size for that amount? I was hoping to also use the gazebo for the DJ area and dancing...is that what youre planning also? Congrats! We are also getting married at the Gran Caribe and staying at the Royal in April. We are going to do a site visit in a few weeks and Im planning to take a ton of pics of the reception options... If anyone has anything they want info/pics on just let me know and Ill try to take pics of everything I can while Im there

Hey ladies, Ive been MIA for the past few weeks sadly... But the good news is Ive been busy getting details accomplished on the wedding front... We are now officially booked for April 6th at the Royal Cancun... We also booked Cecilia Dumas for our wedding and TTD session the next morning. We are using Jill from Sand N Sun vacations,..and we are planning to book our trip on Tuesday...I am waiting for the STD magnets which should be here this week..woohooo so excited to finally get the word out officially to our loved ones..hoping to have atleast 20 people attend so we can have a private reception I have yet to get my dress but have one picked out online, Im just alittle hesitant to buy one online without trying some on in that style..So I will be making a joint trip with my lil sis who is getting married 3mos after me Fun times... This is the dress that I have my eye on online(minus the flower)..let me know what you think Strapless slim A-line bridal gown with zipper for brides 2009 style sawd0023 - a-line princess wedding dress ...... oh our colors are ocean blue and yellow...we are doing our flowers through Silk Wedding Flowers, Yellow Silk Bridal Bouquets were doing yellow calla lillies and some lil white flowers then wrapped with the cornflower color ribbon..their prices are pretty good I think, but Im just doing 7 and 8 inch boquets... whatelse..oh my bridesmaid dresses are Victoria's Secret - Knot-front matte jersey dress in the paradise blue color then they will be wearing silver sandals... I guess thats all I have so far in my wedding planning... I look forward to sharing this wedding planning time with you all Kathy
