It is a gorgeous dress, just tried it on today! If you had it in a size 8, I'd be all over it!!!

So I almost completely followed in your footsteps! We had planned on the Melia Caribe (especially after reading your review) but have now opted for the Majestic Colonial. But everything else...photographer, La Barcaza, colors are the same! Again thanks for all of your reviews and posts, they have been so very helpful!

Hey everyone I just got a ton of stuff free from VistaPrint, all I paid for was shipping and handling. I got 100 postcards (my STDs), 500 business cards to use for the OOT bags, pen, hat, 10 folded notecards, 10 flat notecards, and 140 return address labels....all but the hat and half of the business cards had my uploaded pic but everything was personalized! It cost me $40 and that was only because I put it on rush (I really need to get the STDs out)!!! I got an email today that they have free letterhead on sale now too! Happy hunting ladies!

From what I have read is that they do not share the restaurants, in fact, if you want to go to the sister resort, you have to get a day pass. Something to keep in mind for your guests. Make sure they all book at the same one or else it could get pretty pricey jumping back and forth.

I am debating on organizing something like this for my guests but I don't want them to feel they HAVE to do....I want them to enjoy their vacation as well and not feel they have to spend all their time with us. We are doing the Barcaza for our wedding reception. Actually that is what made me choose the Dominican....couldn't find anything like it in Jamaica which was our alternative.

We are using the Barcaza for our wedding reception. From the reviews I have read people have raved about the food and the service. The prices range from $40 a person to $70 a person, depending on what food service you order. We are doing a dinner which will cost $60 a person but considering it is $55 at the hotel, this is totally worth it!

Oh I'm so sorry to hear about your experience. We are getting married there next May and are also using Photosouvenior. We have opted though to do the La Barcaza for our reception as it is just slightly more but we are guaranteed a private reception on a sunset cruise! Just hopefully it doesn't rain!

We will be getting married at the Colonial May 30, 2011!!! Can't wait!!!

My fiance and I have been arguing over when to send out the invitations. We will have the save the dates out in the next two weeks and our wedding is May 30, 2011. I think we should wait till around November maybe October at the earliest, he thinks it should be September at the latest. I tried to tell him that all the information about the wedding will be on our website which is listed on the save the dates. Most everyone will know by then most likely if they will be going or not.
