Congrats Joanne!!! I too didn't have that 'this is the one' feeling. The bridal store said that only about half have that feeling (but maybe she was just telling me that to make me feel better!). I honestly don't think I would have that feeling with any dress so I think it is just how I am. So you aren't along!
I'm from Edmonton! When are you getting married? I'm getting married in November. I have a FABULOUS company I'm working with, but they aren't based in Edmonton, they are based in Vancouver. I had troubles finding anyone here that I liked. I am booked through Blue Petal Destination Weddings...they are a vendor on here so you can check out their website!
I'm debating on Latisse vs eyelash extensions so thanks for the input! Why would you not recommend Latisse? Also, do you have any pictures you can post?
Hi ladies! Well I signed up for a 22K today for motivation (it is in September). I've done 10K's before but never anything longer. Does anyone have any suggestions for training??
I too am having sucess with insanity. I have also heard good things about P90X and Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. I think the key is BALANCE! I still want to keep a life so I go out but make healthy choices. That way I don't feel deprived! Like sxcT said-eating clean is important. I find eating regularly and having small mealt (5-6 a day) is REALLY helpfu!
I've been to France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Monaco, Holland, Greece, Turkey. Oh and I've been to Scotland. My absolute favorite is Santorini Greece! You have probably travelled to a lot of the countries as well since you are so close!
I completely agree! The benefits of a destination wedding is countless! Although sometimes my FI and I think we should have eloped! lol! I see you are from London-we absolutely LOVE going there, my FI's great uncle lives in London. We have been there many times as we love to travel Europe and London is always our first stop!
Carrie-we are going all around Australia. We have a month there. I am sooooooooo excited! The only area of Australia that I don't think we will get to is the west side. But we will do the outback and east coast all the way down to Adelaide (wineries are a must for me! lol!). Joanne-good luck this weekend finding your dream dress! No panic, they will be able to get a dress in for you!
Kelly-I don't have any experience with Month 2 yet either (I'm in the last week of Month 1). But I was wondering the same thing...if I should repeat month one before starting month 2. Sorry I'm not much help! Just wanted to say that I was thinking of doing the same thing so I will be interested to see what everyone thinks!
Amanda-I love your bouquet! Beautiful I am very envious that you are getting married in Costa Rica...we wanted to but the longer flight deterred us (my dad is afraid to fly, so hopefully a shorter direct flight helps!). Carrie and JBean-sounds like you guys have a nice extended vacation! We are only going for a week in November to Cabo. We are waiting to go on our honeymoon until December and we are going to Australia. I'm very excited! I have been there once before and LOVED it! My FI hasn't been yet so it will be fun I booked my photographer but she is based in Cabo-Gilda Badillo. I've heard great things about both Juan and Sascha on this forum! Joanne-I have heard the excellence is UNBELIEVABLE! I know people that have gone.
JBean-I agree, we have FABULOUS taste! LOL! Your ruffles are more what I wanted so I wish I had seen yours before But I do love mine as well Carrie-I believe I am going to do orange cala lilies for my bouquet. For the centerpieces I am unsure-do you ladies know what flower choices there are in orange and fuschia? I think with the bridesmaid bouquet's I was thinking orange lilies and pink gerbera daisies. Do you girls think that is ok or do you feel like the type of flowers in a bride bouquet should match the bridesmaid's? I think the orange lilies will be a brighter color than the cala lillies but I'm SET on cala's! I love them!
Carrie-I LOVe LOVE your dress! Maggie's fit SO well. My colors are going to be orange and fuchsia, what are yours? Jbean-we have a similar looking dress!
Hi Carrie!!! So fun to have the same wedding date! I'm getting married in Cabo. Yes I got my dress, you can check it out if you like It is the San Patrick Eresma. I love it! We have the attire for the men and just ordered the bridesmaid dresses. Now I'm onto accessories How about you-did you find your dress yet?
Hi Ladies! I have a question...do you know of any good places in Edmonton to go tanning? I don't ever go to tan beds, but I think I want to make sure I have a base tan for my wedding! I'm worried about burning!!
Hi there, I'm not sure if I am being a bridezilla or not but would appreciate feedback! My bridesmaid's got measured for their dress this weekend. In talking to them since, I am now worried! One ordered their dress 5 inches too small in the waist, the other one 3 inches too small in the waist. Both of them plan on losing weight. The bridesmaid that ordered her dress 5 inches smaller in the waist is the type to lose weight when she puts her mind to it (although I think 5 inches is quite a bit!), the other one didn't even lose it for her own wedding! I am starting to stress out! My wedding is in November. Anyways, any thoughts would be appreciated!
Has anyone heard of flowerpik? It is a hair clip that holds fresh water for a fresh flower. Just wondering if anyone has used it or have any thoughts about it? I really want to wear a real flower in my hair if possible but I'm worried about it wilting! From the website, it also looks like it has some other uses for keeping flowers fresh, such as on the cake. http://www.flowerpik.com/
