My wedding is at 1pm....I wanted 2, but there is another wedding after mine, so they pushed me up to one....but I figured early afternoon would be really nice in the pix! All bright colours! And then we can still take some during sunset....hoping that we havent had too much to drink by then!

Congrats on the booking Katelynn!! I went with the Sunshine package too....that seems the most reasonable... I dont think centre pieces are included...what are you thinking about doing for it? I hadn't really thought of that at all!! oh dear!!

Hello!! I'm getting married Nov 24 at the Gran Bahia Principe in Runaway Bay Jamaica!! I can't wait!! I have pretty much got everything in order. I have already sent out the invites....totally skipped the STD cards...I put the RSVP's for July 1st, but the price I was quoted from my travel agent is only good 'til June 5th, so I put that if people wanted to be guarenteed the listed price they needed to book with my TA by the end of May... My colour is a bright blue! I think it will look awesome next to the water! I bought my dress...go for my fitting next month!! diet time!! The only thing we really have left to do is find the clothes for the guys!! P.S. I found that a lot of travel agents kept telling me that I couldnt book yet, but then when I started talking to TA that only deal with group bookings I found out that they had been booking for a while... GOOD LUCK!!!

Hello!! CONGRATS!! I would/did personally pick Jamaica! Why are you debating between those two? I kinda made a list that ruled out places...(ie mexico, cuba, dom rep, etc until i got to jamaica....it basically came down to its a place nmost ppl want to go to, but cant justify b/c its just that bit more then the other places....buts its way cheaper then some of the other islansds.... Hope that helps!!

What about the Gran Bahia Principe....The wedding packages are a decent price and the resort looks great! Thats where I am getting married on Nov 24/10....check it out...

Hey, I found a spot on the Rui website where you can put in your wedding date to see if it is available. If you have a specific date you want that might help you to narrow down your choice......

Hey Michelle, I think most of us are in the same boat!! But dont worry, having a destination wedding is already breaking away from the traditional stuff, so you can do whatever you want! There are tons for good ideas and suggestions on here, so I am sure you will be fine. One thing I have heard is that many of the destination locations only provide flowers for the bride and groom (most offer flowers for the bridal party at an additional cost). I have also been told that in some cases ppl. havent been able to get the colour of flower that match their colour scheme. Just something to think about...

Hey Kerrij I am getting married at GBP in November and I am debating the reception....Do you know how far/close a bar is to the gazebo? Beverly told me that I can rent it for $500 and then I would also have to pay $15 per person per hr for a bar.....did she tell you the same thing??
