Ok, I had a whole day of just DIY projects and had so much fun doing it. Some of this stuff was already done but thought I'd post it anyways. I have less than two weeks til we leave and Im soooo excited. Planning thread to come very soon! Here is our guest "book" and sign. Guests will sign the markerboard and snap a photo. Our wedding programs The place cards/ "shake this for a kiss" cards to be tied to our maracas made by Mishka. Can't wait to see them! My Welcome Letters. each personalized to each guest couple. On the second page is the itinerary. We will set these in each room withour maracas. We have 50 guests so OOT bags were out of the question for our budget My DIY BM tanks. Thanks to Erica!! These were so easy and fun. Only cost me $8/shirt. more to come!!

Wow, bridetobe!!! I can't believe that happened to you! Thats terrible right before your wedding. There are a lot of us that are soooo close! I just had a major DIY day yesterday, yes I am a procrastinator, and can't wait to post my planning thread! I am having a lot of trouble trying to get ahold of the WC's down there as well. Must be super busy!

For all of you that haven't paid bills yet, I have been in contact with Michel and she says it is completely fine to pay your bill when you get there. However, I would still ask for an invoice to see if everything is correct. just an FYI. Although sometimes I think it would just be easier to get it done now but for some reason they seem hesitant to send any invoices over email (in my experience). Hmmm. Michel said they would absolutely not cancel my wedding for this, phew!! Any way, off to my flight for chicago (its not Mexico but it will do, despite the rain!!) yay!

I think the gray suit would look good if all your BM's have bright dresses, good choice!

How are all you ladies paying for your photographers, especially if you are using one from Mexico? Mine asked for the full amount, in cash, before he even starts. Is this normal? FI says pay only half and the other half when we get our pics. What does everyone think?

Oh ChicagoBride, Im headed there this weekend for my b-day/bach party!!!! Im soooo excited!! Gonna try not to think what the FI is doing at his bach party-haha!

So, I am working with Mike Cantarell for my video and photos. He gave me a REALLY good deal for both and was so kind to allow for a two hour break since our ceremony was moved. He has been so great to work with, I highly recommend him. Also, he said the video could be done for our AHR on May 30, he is just amazing!!! For our welcome dinner, we are forking over the $15/pp and having at Asiana, but it will only be for the wedding party and family, which really is just over half of our guests. And then we are meeting everyone at the lobby bar to figure out what to do next.

oh, can you post a pic of your dress, would love to see it!! and don't feel rushed, I finally picked the GM outfits last friday-haha!

Ok, I thought about this for a while. Personally, I think it is really neat to have all the girls wearing different dresses, that is really neat! And my color scheme is somewhat like yours, fuschia, black with some silver incorporated. (Girls in different black dresses) You could have the fourth wear either silver, gray or another black. With the girls all different, I definitely would try to have the guys look similar. btw, good luck finding gray linen pants if you want them, you have to search but they are out there. I originally wanted my GM's to wear white shirts and gray linen pants its very clean and sharp(FI is wearing a light gray cotton suit with white shirt). But we ended up with the opposite (white pants, gray shirt). You could definitely do something like that and then incorporate the fuschia with ties or bouts. And, finally, the guys do not have to wear the same thing as your hubby, but again, imo try to keep them looking the same otherwise it might look chaotic up there. What do you think so far? Hope it helps

dianep, So happy for you that you've found the one! Im glad to hear you other ladies are doing a symbolic as well. I think we are doing ours May 4th. We leave may 10 and have our graduation on May 7th so we are pretty busy that week. I thought about having my grandma there b/c she was upset she couldn't make it to Mex. Otherwise we will make it very simple that day.

dianep, when are you getting married in the states? before or after and are you going to make a big deal of it or just jeans and t-shirt kind of event?

yeah, I have a sand ceremony as well. I also wrote our script for the ceremony as well. Gosh, I hope that ok. On the STD's i included the TA info as well as some prices with an asterik saying these prices are subject to change, obviously. We also wrote a basic intro saying that we were getting married in MX and a little about the property. On the back we wrote our thank you and our understanding that not everyone could make it. So it was pretty informative
