  1. Oh, that reminds me, thanks bridetobe. . . I haven't heard from Michel yet about paying. Does anyone know if they take credit cards to pay the final balance? Surely they would not expect cash, right?
  2. Liso, you are so funny and your lingo!! Thanks and I will!! Everyone has been such a great help on here I have to give back, ya know! planning threads are just where you post everything you've done for you wedding. There is a thread on the main page for it. Its the best thread ever cuz everyone has tons of pics. beware if you haven't been on it yet, you'll be on it for hours!!
  3. Dianep and everyone I will post my planning thread tonite when the forum isn't so busy. OMG I have sooooo many pics its ridic! 15 HOURS TIL WE LEAVE!!!! I hope he gets the music done in time haha!

She usually answers email within hours but lately it is taking her a couple of days. . .I don't blame her though, they are very busy

  6. Dianep ME TOO!! and my FI is still working on wedding music! Like I said. . . shouldn't have gone golfing all week, huh?! They just don't understand. . .haha. Cute bachelorette party, looks fun. Maybe see you down there for a drink?
  7. Wow, Kimmy thanks for all the info!! I just checked in on-line, that is sooo cool. We are in a beach walkout room right by the gazebo, how cool is that!! I can just walk right out of my room to my ceremony. I hope its not too busy right there, oh well! WE LEAVE IN 36 HOURS!! AAAAH IM NOT READY!!!!
  8. Um. . .has anyone seen the 10 day forcast. . .bummer for us May 14-16th brides! Hope this changes. Thanks dianep for posting-haha!!
  9. Ladies who are wondering. . . I was told by the resort WC's that they will NOT cancel weddings if you have not paid yet and that it is perfectly fine to pay once you get down there. IMO you should still try to get an invoice to find any problems 3 DAYS TIL WE LEAVE!!!!!

I would definitely contact corporate AND the resort WC's. Let us know if you need emails for them! Just so you know the resort WC's will do everything in their power to make it up to you. They have been sooooo nice to me since this happened. I have gotten a lot of free/discounted amenities for my wedding to make up for it. Work your magic girl and everything will work out in the end!! Let us know if you need any help! -Lyndsay
  11. Yay!! Happy Legal Day to me and the FI!!! Five Days til we leave!! For those of you looking for photogs, Mike Cantarell and his team have been wonderful to work with and come highly recommended on BDW esp for their videography, reasonable prices as well!
  12. Thank you so much Matt for all this information, this is so helpful. Now, my ceremony is at 2pm when the sun is its hottest and brightest and we have 50 guests. . .would you still recommend everyone standing outside the gazebo? I do REALLY like how Julie and Greg set up their wedding ceremony with all guests on the outside Your pics are beautiful!! thanks again!
  13. Matt, thank you so much for that info!! We have 50 guests, should we put all of the guests outside the gazebo? Just want to make sure I understand correctly, I have shut my brain off

But our group is pretty social so I figure that going to the lobby bar or pelicanos for drinks during this time would be better anyways. This way they will get to mingle and dance with other people. Also, since it is AI they are paying for those drinks and will get a much wider selection of alcohol than they would at the cocktail hour anyway this makes sense. Im in the same boat as you, I have three hours in between. My cocktail hour will serve to take up an hour of that break and give people some things to munch on before dinner. I guess Im not too worried about the alcohol since, I think Jen, said that waiters come by and take drink orders (which will be free anyways). Also, people can walk over to the bar and get drinks, right? P.S. Ive decided Im done thinking about everything and just gonna go with the flow from now on!! SIX DAYS TIL WE LEAVE!!
  15. Thanks again everyone!! It was a lot of hard work! I just used cardstock for all the letters and placecards. My mom actually found address label template online (Ill get that later) and just printed the placecards that way and cut them with a cardstock cutter (not sure what they are called!) It was quite easy
  16. This is frustrating!! Must be with all the changes going on. Im gonna try to talk my way through a lot when I get down there, FI is also really good at getting what he wants-haha!
  17. Yay!! The Royal looks like so much fun! I can't wait. Thanks for your review, very helpful and AWESOME pics!
  18. jesmcan I just emailed WC at the resort and she said that the cocktail hour was just champagne. This honestly surprises me because #1 its all-inclusive so what are they losing and #2 we are already paying for the champagne toast so we should get different alcohol with the cocktail hour. IMO!!
  19. Jen thank you so much!! Congrats on your wedding, can't wait to see pics. This time next week I will be there yay!!

So, my question is.. have any of you had this problem? Or has anyone had a situation similar to this and did you have to pay a sunset charge? I for one remember being told that I wouldn't have to pay this charge, but I can't find that e-mail to save my life. OMG, I agree with Stephanie. When did you book your wedding? Also, I thought it was only for ceremonies. This is just getting ridiculous!! I mean, who honestly has their reception before 4pm?? I better not be charged this!

Ivan said that list is old, they are getting a new one together, but that they have anything and everything and have wireless download so if someone requests something or if you want a song played they don't have they can download it on the spot for you. He said he can also use CDs if you have them or iPod. Hope that helps! On another note....wedding is in 15 days and I still have NOT EVER been in contact with the Mexico WC...Angie told me Zulma was my WC and I have emailed her twice with no response. I have sooooo many unanswered questions that are carried over from Angie never answering them and now I can't get ahold of Zulma! I know it's all this "be patient, it will be awesome when you're down there" but there is stuff I need to know, like about the ceremony musician!!! I have the same questions a few of you have, like do we have songs to choose from or what?! Or just say, "Hey play this" the day of and hope they know it?? Haha. We're also doing civil ceremony, and I have no clue what songs to put where. That is kinda scary!! Can we help with anything? What time is your ceremony and reception and where?. . .Ill be looking for you on 5/14!!
  22. Thank you so much everyone!! Here is a link to the tanks. 23. And the rest. . . these are the invites we sent out to our AHR. And finally, our biggest project. The flowers. All the flowers for the bouts and bouquets were bought at hobby lobby. Total, I spent like $100!! So glad I did this Wow, thats a lot of stuff. I think Im getting sick of pink and black-haha!!
