  1. Hi Jmarie! Yay! There are so many of us now!! I am looking into the photog for sure! Thx!!
  2. Good work this week everyone!! Congrats Tifany!! ;o)
  3. ...this is going to be a bad weekend for me too... baseball tourney, birthday festivities, ....yikes!! Happy May 2-4 fellow Canadians!
  4. Thanks!! I wish the picture showed up better... the design pic doesn't do them justice!! ;o)
  5. omg those are too cute!!! I wish we had a Dollar Tree here
  6. Hey everyone! We just received our custom-made guitar picks and we are so happy with how they turned out! We designed them ourselves and ordered through Clayton Custom Guitar Picks. It was FI's idea (he wanted his own special "spin" put on the OOT bags) lol The photo wasn't showing up very well with my camera, but here is what they look like: Just thought I'd share it with everyone!!
  7. Hey ladies!! This article was e-mailed to me by calorie count.com and I thought I'd share it with you "A New Look at Weight Loss Plateaus" http://http://caloriecount.about.com...term=continue1 I thought that the author did a great job explaining why the scale sometimes stops moving for us... She puts a very positive and encouraging spin on weight loss plateaus!
  8. StephAli- What is your ceremony date?? I have Feb 1st @ 3 pm booked with Beverly Mekanabr- We also decided on the sunshine package... we are just going to pay the $35 per extra person.. We should know by the end of May how many guests we will have in total and then I guess I'll have to contact beverly to let her know more details. The Sunshine package will be good enough for us... the package above it doesnt really seem to offer that much more (we dont care about the breakfast in bed, lol)... The thing that I am wondering about now (and maybe kerrij, you can clarify) is the thing about the "Gold Club" bracelets... I have a friend who went to this resort last year and she was saying that there are WAY more benefits if you upgrade to "gold"... I heard that you are then guaranteed the ala carte reservations, get the room safe for free, and room service?? I don't know if there is anything else or even if it is worth upgrading... We are planning on asking TA about this... Also- we really hope we get to stay in a really nice room!! Did any other GBP Jamaica brides have room upgrades? And how did you go about securing or 'requesting' them
  9. Hey ladies!! I hope everyone had a good monday (well.... as good as monday can be anyways). Today was such a challenging day for me! I just feel like lately I have zero energy... ugh.. people just expect so much and I'm exhausted. ahhhh deep breaths... we will all get through this.!!

Some of my family stayed there and had an awesome time and beautiful photos. I'm most nervous about a photographer - most of the things I've read said that the resort photog isn't great. Anyone from the Calgary area take their own photog? Any recommendations? Thanks in advance for any tips. Ashley!! im in the same boat with the photog.... :S Not too sure what we are going to do yet... hmmm
  11. Cindy- CONGRATS on the loss this week!! ....and omg how rude!!!! lol That is kinda mean!! Tell him he has to make it up to you for the little trick he played! LeAnne- Good job on surviving such a hectic week!! And Good luck with your BD shoot!!! Im sure they will turn out fantastic!

I told myself that this isn't something that I am "just doing now".... it has to be my new way of life. I'm just trying to eat cleaner... less food from boxes & cans.... hopefully those 30 lbs stay away for good!!!

  15. Good morning ladies! The scale showed a small loss this week but the best part is my BMI... Im finally out of the "Overweight" category (barely...but it still counts!!) I've been doing my best to get my lazy butt to the gym this week. I hope everyone has a good friday!! TFIF!!!!! lol
  16. Hi Kim!! I AM!!!! Check out these two GBP threads!! I hope we will be able to help each other throughout our planning!! to the forum!!! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...jamaica-50712/ http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...t-there-51518/

I've learned not to weight myself more than once a week because the fluctuations can be really depressing. Once a week only from now on! I have to say I'm really stressed though and I don't know how this is going to play out for me over the next few weeks. FI's uncle was killed in a work accident on Tuesday and we've just been told his grandma has a lump in her colon and their worried it could be cancer. Regardless if it is or not she'll have to have surgery and may not be able to come to the wedding. It's been very hard for FI and now we have a funeral to go to on Monday that is 6 hours away. His family has been through so much over the last year I don't know how to help him cope. We are sooooo sorry to hear this devastating news! Your FI is so lucky he has you to help him through this difficult time. Stay strong!!
  18. Katelynn, what package are you going with?? I think we are going to go with the Sunshine package which is the most basic one for $1100 .... Have you e-mailed Beverly yet? She sent me the info about the packages & additional costs... Her email is: [email protected] She has been good about getting back to me fairly quickly... I think the ceremony decoration is pretty basic.. but judging from the photos posted by kerrij, the gazebo looks beautiful enough on its own! Also, if im not mistaken, (I think kerrij said this somewhere in the thread) chair covers are free. I know that the resort uses Tai Flora and they have a website if you wanted to check out additional decorations you can get from them. Where in Ontario are you? Yay! Another fellow GBP bride!!
