Has anyone opted to rent the speakers and Ipod connection for $200 as opposed to hiring a DJ? We have songs we want played for the ceremony for sure, and would like to dance at the reception, but I cannot squeeze in $700 for a DJ!!

Thanks mdb! We actually have a TA who is doubling as our WC and so I feel ok with the rate she got for us. Plus we have around 40 others traveling from several states so it was easier to have someone acting as coordinator for all of that. That IS a killer deal though with air included!

ok my fellow EPC brides, I have two dresses: a wedding gown, and a tea length reception gown as well. I was wondering when I should change into it! I notice Boston changed before her and hubby made their grand entrance, is that the best time? I was thinking about doing the first dance and father/daughter dance in my wedding gown and then doing the change by somehow sneaking out later, but that doesn't seem like it is practical. I was also concerned about him doing the garter take off in a short dress! Doesn't that kind of take some of the fun out of it if he doesn't have to go fishing under a long dress for it? I dunno, what do you ladies think?

All good ideas ladies BUT... 1. We are doing the legal part here in the states before we go, so there will be no signing papers, and 2. No sand ceremony, we are doing an Arras (Dominican tradition) ceremony instead that just involves him giving me coins and saying words. I have NO clue where to squeeze it in, but the words are SO meaningful!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this song and the words are so appropriate. But the music/tune is not really upbeat or positive sounding. I want it incorporated in the music selection somewhere, but I have no clue where it would fit best. Any ideas?

I am doing fake flowers for the BMs and using the free corsages/bouts for the moms, my dad, and FI. I also get my bouquet for free. I am not that into flowers, so I am fine with that, and I definitely refused to pay $40 per BM bouquet from the resort!

MAC also has a good eyeshadow primer! I will definintely try the L'oreal mascara though, because I know I will be crying the whole wedding weekend
