  1. I saw a thread from a while ago about door hangers and thought I should post these to anyone who is interested. I found them on a Martha Stewart website a few months ago and can't find the link now, so I'll copy and paste them... These are DIY door hangers for your guests. You can print them out (two to a page), on heavy card stock and stash a couple in you OOT bags. Don't forget to add a pen! I think these are adorable, and since you are printing them out yourself you can always edit them to please your guests with graphics, fonts and diff. activities. Enjoy Oh, no! We missed each other! I AM O sunbathing at the beach O lounging by the pool O chilling in the lounge O sipping at the bar O relaxing at the spa O working out at the gym O out & about shopping O hiding on purpose. Shhh! Is anyone else making these for their guests? I'd love to hear about them!
  2. thanks for sharing, this will be so helpful when I start to do my invites! Good luck with the rest of your planning!
  3. That is the same picture I was inspired by too! I love your version, using flowers from Michaels is such a good idea and will cut the cost so much, thank you for posting and good luck with your wedding!! Congrats!
  4. Hi everyone! I'm trying to figure out which resort I want to use and have a question for Majestic Colonial or Elegance... I have seen posts about where you can have your reception and I was wondering if anyone had ever used the Presidental Suite for their reception? I saw on a post that you rented it for 24 hrs... Is it a room that you are renting and your reception is out on the roof or what? Thanks for any info!!!!
  5. Congrats!! I'm gettng married in July 2011 too! Prob DR though, but regardless, you'll love this site, TONS of info!!! Good luck with your planning!
  6. Congrats on your engagement!! You and I are in the same boat, want a DW but not sure where! But I've been able to narrow down my choice with the help of this forum so I'm sure you will too! I am thinking Puerto Plata or Punta Cana, DR. Both locations are pretty inexpensive for all-inclusives and most resorts offer plenty to do for my guests. (Majestic Colonial, Majestic Elegance or the Excellance Resorts are two that are looking like good possibilities) Good luck with your planning!!
  7. Thanks Ladies!! I still have a lot to look at but if I'm lucky all this DC snow will cancel work tomorrow so I can spend all day researching Punta Cana is looking better all the time, I just can't get over the price difference between DR and some other islands!
  8. These are amazing Stephanie! I am going to do DIY invites too (once we finally pick a destination!) and these are a great inspiration! Thanks so much and good luck with the rest of your planning!!
  9. Thanks for your great review! I'm still trying to figure out which resort to go with and your review gave me some great insite! Congrats on being a Mrs!!
  10. Hi everyone! This site is great! I'm so glad I stumbled upon it. I'm sure you all will be my number one resource for all my wedding planning!! Right now my biggest question is where?? I am planning on a July 2011 wedding and I'd like a Caribbean location, but thats all I've decided on so far. Here are my top 5 most important things I want to find in a resort: 1- affordable all inclusive resort for our guests 2- great beach and gazebo options for the ceremony 3- good food and good service! 4- I dont care about the size, but I do want the ceremony and the reception to be as private as possible (so maybe somewhere that lets you rent out private bars/restaurants/rooms for the receptions, and private as can be ceremony options...) 5- good on-site wedding coordinators (I'll need all the help I can get!!) I know this is a big list that prob. covers a vast amount of resorts all over but it will def. be a big help to me to have reviews from brides (instead of just tripadvisor). It gets to be a little overwhelming trying to click through all the different posts on so many different resorts! Thank you so much in advance for your help, I really appreciate it!!
