When I received the Romance Calculator from Perla, I punched in all the things I wanted for the custom, aqua and chill out chic and the custom was cheaper. That's the only reason! I am having Cecilia take a look at everything I want to let me know if I calculated correctly but haven't heard from her.

Darcat, from what I recall you can change out the colors, the sit down would be an up charge and you can change the flowers but depending on what you want it could also be an up charge. I think most of us found that if we did a custom package, it is cheaper but make sure you do your homework and compare. I really wanted the chill out chic but for the price difference, I decided to just go with the tall tables. OOT is out of town bags that you give to all of your guests when they arrive. We've ordered koozies with our logo on it and got Spanish for Dummies since they were $1 at Target but other than that, I'm thinking hangover kit (Advil, Pepto, Imodium AD ... great threads to find places to get them), key/tip holder, a mexico keychain and maybe some playing cards possibly.

Jennifer, that is what I am doing and like NaM said, I am just telling them the color and they are all picking their own dresses. This way they wear what fits them best and looks best on them.

Jewels, 4 months ... so exciting!!! Have you started doing your OOT bags yet? If so, what are you doing if you don't mind me asking? Also, is the family with a baby $1400 per person? We are getting rates for around $1179 pp for 5 nights for double occupancy and $1354 for single. Is the promotion only if you book rooms with them directly or does it matter?

Kelie, I contacted Fernando from the Makeup Pros re make up and he has a guy that would also come and do hair but Cecilia told me I'd have to pay the vendor fee vs the day pass for them to come on site! Now that is just crazy! I guess you may be able to get away with saying they are a guest. BRIDE HAIR & MAKEUP TRIAL $180 DAY OF THE EVENT $330 BRIDEMAIDS ONLY HAIR $50 up to $80 ONLY MAKEUP $90 He seems really highly recommended from other brides on the site. Check the thread about hair and make up and there are others too that are recommended. Oh ... booked our DJ today!! Going with Ivan at Doremixx. Very excited! Also, I called Cecilia to be sure there would not be any other charges besides the outside vendor fee and someone named Adriana answered and she said that it is her, Cecila and Daniella doing the weddings there and she was super nice and told me to forward her my emails that I was waiting on a response and that she would follow up with Cecila. She couldn't really answer all my questions but was very nice. She also said they have a ton of weddings in April that they are getting ready for that is why they have been slower than usual getting back to us.

I wish I could help with the legal wedding question. We are getting married in the states first and just having a symbolic ceremony. I believe you have to have blood tests too. Last I heard from Cecila was about 3 weeks ago. I heard from past brides that communication should get a lot better when you are within 3 months. If you don't hear from her, I would call since you are so close to your date.

Wow, maybe I'm just cheap but I found her prices to be on the high end. Her work does look amazing though! I know there are a lot of brides that have used her on this board or plan to use her.

I totally agree. I've been to some of the most fabulous resorts that I thought I died and went to heaven but yet reading reviews before I went scared me. Sometimes you cannot please someone no matter how hard you try. Even though I have not yet been to this resort and picked it sight unseen, I am very happy with my decision even though I'm sure the other resorts are great as well.

Lily, my notes say 9-6 is $65, 6pm-2am is $75 and full day is $95. Our ceremony is at 4 so we'll need to get the all day pass for people.

I am thinking about using him for my October wedding. He seems be the least expensive between mannia and dj bob. How exciting!

His prices must have gone up Plus I have to pay a outside vendor fee ... not sure if its worth not using the hotels but we'll see! Thanks for all the info!

I've been reading about a few other dj's that seem to be a lot less. Did you consider any others before booking? Are you going with swank or mannia?
