I started with around 100 lbs to lose, now I have lost 28 so far and still have a lot to lose (around 70+) yet I get stuck and feel like weight is not coming off wuick enough - I am good on the weekdays in the office and we seem to eat out every weekend and it goes all wrong...... Ladies, a quick question for you all, today I found online the Disney Brides Red Label line for plus size.... does anybody know which international companies make these style dresses as I cannot afford the $3000 price tags.... OK only got in 20 mins as I had to go to see my shoulder doctor! I did though go on the level 5 weightloss, it was really hard but I burned 80 calories in 0 mins

A leg only eliptical as I have a shoulder inpingment for 30 mins prior to work - lost 285 cals....

Hey Ladies, I am new to this thread - wow I love it- finally I find ladies in the same 'boat' as me persay..... OK so I am getting married November 3rd in Cancun, I have been on a diet since last Ocotber - start weight was 259lbs currently down to 232 but I need the weight to move faster! I recently started a new diet am hoping to be under 200 by the time I order my dress in July. I had tried on a halter neck in Davids Bridal back in January and whilst I liked it, I have my mum flying into town in June from the UK to go dress shoping with me in June and I have recently seen a picture of an Alfred Angelo gown I have fallen in love with however it is moremermaid shapped and I don't think I have the figure for it but I truly think the gown in geogerous now only if I can shift some more weight so it looks nice. I am currently a size 24-26, I have recently started Transformations weightloss and I am going to the gym as much as I can.... however I recently tore my rotata cuff and therefore I cannot do any upper body work in the gym only in physical theraphy which is limited...... The beautiful dress is off the shoulder - tight down to mid thigh then flares out.... Sorry for my ramblings....... Thank you for having this forum. I am going to go through and look at all your beatiful pictures from your weddings and get some inspirations that even if I cannot make it to my goal, curvaciuos ladies still amke beautiful brides - Take care, Tori

I come from the Uk but currently live in Florida getting marrried in Cancun in November. My mum is coming over in June to help me choose a wedding dress. I am a big girl (size 24, 230 lbs) and I have been trying to diet since we set the date - I am down 3o lbs so far but want to lose at least naother 30 before the big day. When my mum comes in June she wants to go and choose the dress with me but from seeing all this forum I think I may like to order the dress from China as the prices seem MUCH better and I can basically get me 2 little flower girl dresses as well for the same price I would pay for the dress along here. The problem I have is I want to see the dress on first. I think I am going to go around the bridal boutiques - alfred angelo etc in Orlando with my mum and then get her to take photos. I will then prehaps order the dress from someone who replicates similar dresses from china. I worry though if I lose more weight which hopefully I will about getting the dress sized if I need to when it arrives to me here in Orlando....... How long did the dresses usually take to arrive from China? I am wondering how late I could order it if I am leaving to Mexico on Ocotber 25th..... Thanks, Tori

We are getting married in November, we booked a standard room through Expedia and Cecilia was able to upgrade us to an Ocean View room which is nice but we would have loved a honeymoon suite....... If we have lots of people book to stay at Dreams I may ask her again nearer the time if there is a better upgrade available....... Congrats Lisa on the wedding, good luck!

Thanks PhillyBride, I believe you need a certain category of room, we just booked a standard room so even though we are staying 9 nights I dont think we get it - bummer But probably TA Jill can confirm this for us. We are having our reception at the Garden, Jason my other half does not like sand in his feet and we have a little 7 year old that also has the same dislike to sand in their shoes / toes so the garden should still give us a good view without the headache of these moaning Good luck all - Tori

Your wedding colors are similar how mine are, I have the fushia pink and the other half and I keep going back and forth on either green or blue as they 2nd color. Hi There, I dont think the private beachfront dinner is included in the Ultimate Wedding package but only the Ultimate Honeymoon package which is for people getting married elsewhere and going to the Dreams on their Honeymoon but maybe I am wrong. I didn't see anything in my contract about the beachfront dinner and in the paperwork explaining the Dreams for the Ultimate Weddint it noted 'honeymoon package' not ultimate honeymoon package so I think it is not included but maybe someone who was married already could confirm. I think this might have been asked before but we are going to be choosing the menu soon. I have some pretty fussy eaters in the family. The one who eats basically just meat and potatos and no herbs / spices or anything I have bascially told them they will need to go to the buffet prior to the wedding. I have one guest though that is alergic to seafood, so I am hoping Cecilia allows me to do a different plate for him. Does anyone have photos of the food though they can share so we can some ideas? I've tried to go through some of the reviews and dont see any...... any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Tors

Abbie32 - i believe the resort vidoegrapher is Cancun Wedding Videos which is Mike Canterell, I may be wrong, but I think I saw a bride review some time ago and it was him..... We can't afford a photographer / vidoe extra, so we are having the included ones and we will plan on a little money on the side to maybe buy extra photo time or a cd of pictures etc. We are paying extra for DJ and dancefloor, we only have a small group but we think it will help with ambience. THanks for the pictures, they have helped me immensly, it is not as pretty as it was but it is certainly not as ugly as I had imagined it would be. I was told that all guests are totally open to use the Tower Beach, so I am sure your guests will be fine lying there. Take care, Tori

We are 99% sure we are going to take the DJ, we are only having a small wedding (around 20 people) but most of us enjoy dancing and we all will probably have a drink and a dance. We figured its not too much fun to have to try and change the Ipod etc, we just want to relax and we think the DJ will help a bit like a master of ceremonies, annouce the speeches, first dance, cake cutting etc. Evening though its a small inimate group I think he will help keep it organised and give the evening a bit more ambience...... just my opion though but we figure we will probably get the DJ...

I was also really dissappointed when I saw the 'new' view from the gazebo, the beach looks great but I am a 'pool' person not a beach person so I probably wont use it anyway and the reason I selected Dreams was due to the gazebo being surronded by the ocean. I loved the ocean all around the gazebo however ladies unfortunately there is absolutely nothing we can do about it apart from accept it. I hope the photographer take the photos with the ocean in the background rather then the rock wall. I hope that they start to look more natural with the surrondings by the time I get married on November 3rd. I may take some decorations also, I saw another bride took chair bows and Cecelia confirmed for me if I brought them she would ensure they got put on chairs at the gazebo as well as at the reception. Iam going to look at the MExicana packages, i have been trying to get JetBlue but they are not available after Ocotber 31st yet and as the wedding is November 3rd we wnt be returning until after this. OK, in regards to DJ Mannia, I emailed Cecilia about the discount and was told it does not apply to Dreams brides, I requested any sort of discount they could do as it seems a bit unfair that we are unable to book directly as 30% is a large amount of money to save and never recevied a repsonce....... has anybody had luck getting a discount on DJ Mannia through Cecilia??

Correct, you don't piss me off I'm just hyper jealous - when stressed I eat anything in site - from food, to chewing pens to eating my fingers nails - disgusting and bad I know However in regards to shakes, protein shakes can help, one of my best friends loses weight at stressfull times and she often drinks the meal replacement shakes as drinks instead of meal replacements, so adding the extra calories into her daily intake. Good luck with it I am sure you will be a beautiful bride with our without your curvy cleavege!!

Pixiepandust that dress is georgous, just looked it up wow, what a stunner. I am a plus size so trying to find something that will suit my figure, trying to diet and hit the gym also but hey we can only do so much in this time period. Congratulations it is lovely!!

We are all confirmed and deposit paid for November 3rd. I contacted Mannia and he told me I had to reseve through Cecelia, we are having the garden for the reception. We are having the DJ and the light up dance floor. I figure it is expensive but will create a fantastic ambience! Can't wait. Tommorrow I am going to start on the invitations as I have alot of people coming in from Europe!!!

Hi Ladies, I thought it would be nice for all the 2010 Dreams Cancun brides to notes there dates down in a seperate thread. The main thread is so great but so full its hard to scroll back and forth to see people I have requested November 1st / 2nd or 3rd - awaiting Celia to get back with me!
