Hi Girls! I've been to Priscilla of Boston, Pronovias, Bridal Garden, RK Bridal, David's Bridal. I'm from Stamford CT so I also visited a few places around CT also - Traci Romano, Purple Serpent, Marie's Bridal. There are so many options!!! My biggest concern is material. I fell in love with a Paloma silk gown which is so gorgeous and it makes me feel like a bride! But I did find a second one that is a Maggie Sottero gown but is satin. Do you guys think Satin would be too heavy for a wedding in Mexico in November? -
Congrats!!! Welcome =)

Hello! I read that you guys thought the announcements and his english were perfect. That was my biggest worry. I'd like him to announce the bridal party and our entrance to the reception and also the first dance, etc. Did any of you have an issue where any of this got messed up by accident? I've been to a few weddings where a few of these were annonced wrong! Also, did you guys find that all of the songs you wanted were available? Thanks! Ana -
Let me know about the beach! We were there on a site visit but it was really cloudy and the weather was bad so all the resorts we visited had really murky water and we were told it was from the currents. I'd love to know what it's like regularly though. Also - do you know how many restaurants are in the property? We know the following but let me know if there are more: Main buffet restaurant - on the main floor w/the bronzed palm trees Mexican restaurant - upstairs Pool Restaurant - by the pool area Thanks!! Ana

Can you tell me who the designer is? I haven't been able to find a neckline like that one. Thanks!! Ana

Can you girls tell me what pricing you had for your guests? I know it's a newer hotel so rates may be pricier but I just wanted to make sure the rates we were being quoted by the resort were reasonable. We have heard $185 per person per night but it seems a lot cheaper on expedia. What type of booking rates did you guys get? Also - what type of wedding packages did you receive? Any pricing information will be extremely helpful! Thanks!! Ana

I love that chapel. Have you had a chance to meet with the priest? Where are you doing your reception?

Out of all of those Hacienda Tres Rios and the Valentin were our top two favorites. Valentin has a chapel on site. For any of you who are interested in a Catholic ceremony this may be an option later down the road. Luis is working on getting approval from a priest to use a chapel on site for Catholic ceremonies.

It seems like Luis may not be a person to always be around his computer. Both days we visited he was walking around with people doing site visits etc. I would definitely try calling him. Let me know if you have any questions. We visited the following resorts: Playacar Palace Ceiba del Mar Excellence in the Riviera Maya Valentin Imperial Le Reve NH Dreams Riviera Maya Azul Sensatori

Hi Girls, My Fiancee and I did our site visit to the Riviera Maya right after Christmas. We visited Hacienda Tres Rios yand fell in love with it! The pictures on the website do not do it any justice. You can not go wrong with this place! For those who have officially booked: Are you using your travel agent to book the hotel and airfare OR are you booking directly with the hotel? IF your guests book through a travel agent do they still get counted as your wedding group when it comes down to getting things like the room for the groom or discounted rates? Let me know please! I will post pictures once we are able to upload pictures. Our laptop has been slow lately.

This is where it may be tricky. We went on site visits of these two places and found 2 resorts in each area where we would love to do our wedding. PV: Dreams Villamagna Vallarta Palace RM: Hacienda Tres Rios Valentin Imperial We are of course always open for suggestions but now that we have narrowed down our choices we are definitely in need of a travel agent who specializes in destination weddings. Thanks!! Ana -
