Sandra you are awesome!!!! Your review was so detailed. I read it once and printed it out. I am going to pass it along to my FI, my dad and my mom to read. I am sure we will have some questions in the very near future. I am very TRULY grateful to you for taking the time to share all your information. Thank you, thank you, thank you:)

Where are people finding personalized thermal/travel mugs from? I don't like the metal mugs. The metal mugs heat up from the sun and melt the ice fast. I Found out last vacation hahah

DDBentkey15 Thank you so much for all your information!! I have a dumb question....what is an AHR I think I am missing something obvious:) Quote: Originally Posted by DDBentley15 Hey, I'm actually having my reception in a banquet room to save some money and also because we're getting married in Jan (15 days!) and i hear it can be cool and windy that time of year on the beach at night. Our photographer is Claudia Rodriguez, her works looks great and she is in Cancnun. We are not getting a DJ since we're having an AHR with a DJ. We're planning on using an ipod and paying for an extra hour to have some time for dancing!

Hi, My sister got married there this past June. She mentioned that she had trouble reaching the WC. HOwever, once we arrived three days before the wedding, the WC was at her beck and call. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and super romantic. The WC went above and beyond. My dad actually went back to the hotel to get more money to tip her. The only problem we had at the hotel was the swimming pool. All the tiles are coming up at we all cut our feet during the week. Just be careful. But the main event, the wedding was so nice, I loved how they do their weddings!!!

What is the trend here? Are most people picking a beacn reception or at one of the grills? If a grill, which one? Who is your photographer? If so, who and how much? Are you using the hotel DJ or getting on from outside the property? If so who? How much? Thanks girls:) I am waking up in the middle of the night have nightmares about these things

July 2010 Brides!!
staceychris17 replied to The Mandy in Chandy's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Name:Stacey FI Name: Christopher Wedding Destination: Barcelo Maya Palace Maya Rivera, Mexico What made you choose this destination? We have vacationed there twice and that is where Christopher proposed to me there. Wedding Date: July 17th 2010 What made you choose this date? The earlist date we could get...closest to the end of school year...Teacher too:) Have you decided on your wedding colors? I thought so, but today I changed again..............it is hard!! What is something unique about your wedding? Christopher's dad recently passed away so our wedding will now be extra special for his family. His mom has shared that she is looking forward to this day so she can celebrate all the hard work they put into raising their son and watching him get married. Tell us anything else about yourself and/or your wedding: My sister had a destination wedding in Jamaica and it was the most romantic wedding I have ever seen. I hope to capture that same moment with our beach wedding! -
LOL...oh my god I am so sorry to add one more thing to your list!! SORRY!! I think I might stick to the resort...hey if I get sick maybe they will comp us a week hahah bad joke:) I teach so I spoke to my Spanish teacher at school and she said she would translate for us. When we find a good recipe i will post it. What do you think vanilla or chocolate Maybe I will just pack 14 boxes of Betty Crocker GF cake mix!!! Thanks Girls:) Quote: Originally Posted by echo2_62 I haven't looked into this too much but my mom is celiac so I am hoping to come up with some ideas for treats that she'll be able to enjoy as well. I guess that's something to add to my list!

Thanks...I am sure you are right. I tend to be hard on myself. Once it is all put together I will love it. Thank you:) Quote: Originally Posted by carolina24 oh no that's horrible!!! why don't you like it maybe once you put it on that day you'll see how beautiful you look!

Hello Rebecca and Buleczka26!! Thanks for responding!! Wow I am not the only one out there:) Buleczka26 you are very nice to have chocolate covered strawberries and not have the cake to make things complicated. However, I totally want to have my wedding cake. It is important and I feel that I have given up so many opportunities in life to enjoy fun things..and I really want my may cake...hahaha. Rebecca we may have to have your mom translate....I have found two recipes that look pretty good. On a side note....have either one of you tried Betty Crocker's new Gluten Free bake goods?? They are super good!!! My FI hates Gluten Free food and he actually likes the chocolate cake better then regular cake. I will keep you posted if I hear anything...if not, Rebecca I am sending you the recipes..we will have to get your mom a gift for the translations:)

OMG...I just posted a Celiac Bride thread!!!! How funny. I am looking for a wedding cake recipe written in spanish so I can give the WC. I sent her my list of restrictions..but I still feel nervous. I am also, researching for a photographer. Usually you would fly them down and pay for their services.

Beach wedding shoes
staceychris17 replied to purpleshells's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
My sister got married this past june on the beach in Jamaica and we wore beautiful wedges from Nine West. They were perfect to walk on the sand in and comfortable to stay in all night until 2am dancing at the disco. I am planning on wearing them at my beach ceremony this summer. Also, the sand is pretty tightly packed down at the ceremony spots....usually. -
I have Celiac Disease and I am a bit nervous about my wedding cake? I have emailed my WC what ingredients I cannot have, but I am thinking I may not be able to eat my wedding cake. Is there anyone else who has Celiac and has a solution to this issue? Maybe a wedding cake recipe in Spanish that they know is safe to eat?? ~Stacey
