I agree 100% with all of the posters. I have only been dressing shopping to one store and I wish I would have known all of this before going. I had 5 people with me, which was too many. I did try on everything that was given to me and some of they styles I hated on the hanger I loved on. So just try it on before deciding. I'm going again this weekend with my Mom and Aunt and hope to find the DRESS!

My FI picked this ring out on his own for me It is a 2 ct diamond that has an old mine cut. It looks gorgeous in low light. I love seeing everyone's rings on here! -

Hi Everyone- Hoping to be a May 9th of 2011 bride at Dreams Cancun. We have yet to finalize the date, but working on it. We are also planning on doing the paperwork legally at home and then using our Mexico wedding as our "real" date. It just seems like it would be so much easier that way. I would assume the Judge would be familar with the situation and you can strictly fill go through the process and skip the kiss/rings.

Congrats KB&JC! May 2011 seems so far away to me right now but I know it will go by fast! Have you decided on a reception area? We are still trying to figure that one out. I would love a beach reception but I'm scared about the wind/sand.

Hi Dream's Cancun brides- I am currently working with Jill to book our wedding at Dreams Cancun on May 9th of 2011!! I have been engaged since last May and we will be getting married exactly 2 years from the day he proposed I have been lurking on these boards for awhile and I'm excited we finally have committed to location! I think I was starting to drive myself crazy with all the options!

My FI and I also agreed if we go to Mexico for our wedding that we would get legally married here before hand. How does it work with passport and license if you get married and change your name before you travel? Will you just travel under your maiden name?

Has anyone had their wedding at Wyndham Sugar Bay resort? I fell in love with the pictures, but I am worried about the quality of the resort. I found some of travel website's reviews where not that great. Any advice or insight would be so helpful.

Hi everyone- I am new to to this forum and attempting to find the perfect resort! I came across this Dreams Riviera Cancun thread and I'm so impressed. My FI and I are looking at an April/May 2011 wedding date. I sent off my request to get some more information from the hotel. I am also hoping to find a TA to book everything through for my family and friends eventually. Does anyone have any advice to finding a TA that is knowledgable about Dreams? Also does this resort give any discounts for getting married on a weekday? Is everyone planning a legal wedding or just symbolic?

Westxgrly & Hugrad, I am looking at a wedding in the Wyndam at the St. John Terrace Gazebo location. I am just starting the communication process with the planner there. Are either of you planning on having the guests do the all inclusive plan? Hugrad- Are you doing a formal reception there? I'm having a smaller group and I'm hoping to be able to just all have dinner together instead if we so the all inclusive. Also are you planning on doing a travel agent for your guests to book through or just on their own?

Hi Everyone, I am brand new to this forum. I am recently engaged as of May 2009 and planning a destination wedding. We are interested in the Virgin Islands and I am interested in the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort in St. Thomas. We are planning to get married in 2011, but can't decide on a month. Looking at Feb or late Apr/May. Does anyone have advice as to the best time to travel there or when rates may be reduced? I'm also looking for advice on if I should hire a wedding planner or just go with the hotel planner? Thanks in advance for any advice

Hello everyone, We are planning a 2011 wedding hopefully in the Virgin Islands. We have not set an exact date, but we are looking between Feb-May. If anyone has suggestions of hotels or the best month to visit the islands it would be great!
