  2. Hey girls...I saw this review on trip advisor today...I know you can't always trust TA, but this is a fabulous review of AS! SO, I had to share... My wedding at the Sensatori - best wedding I've ever been to! - Review of Azul Sensatori by Karisma, Puerto Morelos, Mexico - TripAdvisor

Thanks for the compliment!! Good news: these are for ANY budget!!! I don't remember exactly how much they cost, but it could not have been more than $40 to do 9 of them: 1) Bottles-sand blast entertainment (www.sandartsupplies.com): $.89 per bottle 2) Boxes-same website: $.39 each. 3) Paper-www.paperandmore.com: I don't remember how much I paid, but they have EVERY paper you can imagine and for really cheap! 4) Sand-There are TONS of websites you can order from. Just google "sand art" or "wedding ceremony sand" or something similar. I think I paid $10, including shipping for the sand. You can definitely find it cheaper than that. 5) Labels-I just printed out my "monogram" on a sheet of paper and bought a "sticker maker" for $10 or less (I can't remember) to stick it on there. 6) Raffia ribbon-They have this at hobby lobby and Michaels. It is not expensive at all. Just a few bucks. I even used the leftover ribbon to put in the boxes instead of the "stuffing" that the boxes came with. 7) I purchased silver spray paint to spray down the boxes. This was definitely not necessary though!!!! Please feel free to ask me questions!!

I ran across your post about envelopes. I am an August bride, but was just snooping around! ha I ordered mine from Card Stock, Vellum Paper, Envelopes, Metallic Cardstock, Invitation Cards Specialty Wedding Stationery - Paperandmore.com. They have SO many colors and sizes. They are very reasonable as well. Hope this helps!
  5. Girls, I HATE to bring this up, but I had a major freak out thinking about the weather in August!!!! I all of a sudden got super worried about a __________. (don't even wanna say the word!!!)

Also there is one menu where a dinner is $20 and then a comparable entree on a different menu that is almost $50. If someone could let me know their budget breakdowns that would be awesome. Also if the hotel was willing to negotiate on prices too... Thanks!!! Welcome to this fabulous forum!!! These girls are awesome!!!!!!!! They have the best ideas and are the best listeners! We are here to help ya!

  10. Those are too cute!! I am going to check out her site!!! I did passport STD's, but I have no idea what I want to do for invitations.

As a gift from one of my close friends, she is a professional film editior and he is a camera man for television and movies out here in LA are actually borrowing a really pro video camera and offered as my wedding gift to professional film and edit a wedding video for me. This is the most amazing gift to me so I figured I'd be able to show this to everyone at my AHR as well That is the BEST gift ever!!!!!!! So jealous!

I think it is a fabulous idea!! BUT IF AND ONLY IF, you will let them handle it!!!!!! From what I know of you, I think you will try to make it super cute and do all this stuff for it (I would be the same way)...I think you should definitely do it if it doesn't stress you out!!!!!! It will be nice for yall to get to celebrate with the fam!

I might have to go back to our options (I can't even remember now if we even have something like the Lomas website to choose things from!) oh, and we're also £1k over budget.... holy f/ck! no idea how we're going to pay for things now!! eek! Don't get me started on my budget...my dress is DOUBLE what was budgeted...

So glad I prodded I had a feeling something would go wrong there so they are getting me bigger vases. The dimensions of the vases they gave me were 20cm, 15cm & 10 cm with 2.5cm across the top. What kind of tiny a** vases are that!? OMG... You don't even want to know how many suitcases I am bringing. I'm bringing all the lighting and lanterns and OOT bags so at this point I have 6 suitcases and to be honest, I think I may need more haha those are pretty TINY! Ugh I am sure I will run into the same problem. I know this sounds like a hassle, but I wonder if they have some vases in Cancun. If they have a range of stores from Louis Vuitton to Costco, surely they sell some vases. Yes, that sucks to make the trip, but it would save $20 AND save the hassle of getting them down there. With my luck and clumsiness, they would surely be broken by the time I arrived at the resort. I will do some research. We could always call around and having them put some on hold. Also, the first person that gets married could always leave them at the resort for the other girls...thoughts? Oh and in regards to suitcases...I am sure I will have that many...I take 2 suitcases when I just go on a regular trip!

Thanks love!! I need to update it more often...hmm maybe I will do that now!
  18. Congrats!!! Exactly, everyone has different views and opinions, so what one girls thinks is not having it together, you may think is perfect combo off hands on and hands off. I would make your list of "must haves" and pick the resort that closely matches your list. Also, go with your gut!! If you are leaning towards a specific resort, go with it! Good luck...and welcome to the site!

I am going try them on this week, so I will definitely take note!!
  20. Hi girls, I just wanted to send out a quick "brag" about Le Blanc. Melissa Gomez has been absolutely fabulous to work with!!! She literally gets back to me within 5 minutes of me emailing, regardless of the urgency of the question. Even though I have only been dealing with the resort for a few months, everyone has gone above and beyond the call of duty to make me feel like their only bride!!! If anyone is looking for a resort, I HIGHLY recommend them. Yes, it may be a little more expensive for your guests, but so far the service has been impeccable...not to mention how gorgeous and fabulous the resort looks!!!
