And with so few to put together it should take no time at all That's an awesome idea! You could probably find all kinds of albums at Michaels if you have one nearby. Or a scrapbooking store might be a good place to try too.

If they're 8 by 11 sized pages you could look for some binders or duotangs and then use some pretty paper or fabric to cover the outside. You would want to wrap the outer part like a present and glue gun it in place, and then put a smaller square of cardstock on the inner cover to cover up the folds (I hope that makes sense, it's kind of hard for me to describe).
  4. I just put the name of the resort, the name of the area it's in and then the country- didn't bother with a full street address. All of the extra info is available on my website or through my travel agent (I had an insert directing people to both) so I figured it wasn't necessary. I've seen examples online of destination wedding invites that used this format, but I can't remember where.
  5. Hello and welcome to the forum! Can I just say I love your username? I'm a children's librarian and that is one of my favorite kid's books of all time- too much fun to read out loud. Anyway .... good luck and happy planning!''

Nope, no chinooks for us, sadly. Wow, that is crazy that it's the same in Fahrenheit, I'll take that as a sign that it's very cold indeed. 7. Morning ladies! So just to get you all in a tropical mood, can I tell you it's minus 42 here right now (I don't know what that is in Farenheit for you American gals, so lets just say unbearably cold). Yep, you read that right, no lie. I can't frickin wait for Cuba. The plus? Well, I'm home from work and I've always wanted to use that tongue stuck to the pole smiley. The minus? Duh- it's bloody cooooold outside.
  8. We each spoke to our parents and got their opinion on what a fair price would be for everyone. We knew they'd be going for sure so we didn't mind working around them, plus I figured they'd have a good idea about what the family would think. I guess my advice would be pick one or two people you trust to be honest with you, who are also likely to attend, and run the numbers by them. I think if you try to ask everyone then you'll get too many opinions, though. Honestly, we made the decision to pick something a bit cheaper than we would have for just the two of us out of courtesy to our guests. I figured not everyone would be willing to spend as much for our wedding as we would, you know? Plus this way we can easily afford to stay for an extra week after everyone else leaves!
  9. I just had two inserts, also. One RSVP card and one with the contact info for my travel agent that also directed people to my website for more info. I think it worked well for me, honestly. Unless you feel like there's something important you're leaving out you should be fine.
  10. I've been trying to think of it as more of a party, if that makes sense. I mean, when you have people over for a party you may have 20 or more folks, and you put the music on, they have a few drinks and mingle and usually everyone has a good time. So I'm hoping the reception will be like that but in a much better location than my living room/ back deck! Basically even though it's a smaller group than a typical reception people will probably still have fun- even if they don't dance. I don't know if this will help but that's the way that I've been thinking about it lately and it's made me relax a bit.
  11. Hi Thao! Welcome to the forum. Be warned- it can be very addictive . I hope you enjoy all of your planning!
  12. Honestly, I'd be pretty nervous about ordering a dress if you haven't been able to try it first. Especially an expensive dress. It can be so hard to tell what it'll look like until you get it on-at least that's what I found when I was dress shopping. If you had more time I'd say maybe but if you don't like the dress then you'll really be SOL and rushing around in a panic looking for something off the rack. I'd keep shopping, I guess. Sorry if I sound like a downer. In the end though this is totally your call and good luck with whatever you do.
  13. Now that is a wedding I'd love to see lol.

  16. Welcome to the forum! I'm sure you'll get lots of help and advice here. Take a look for some threads on to-do lists or checklists to get yourself started. There's a great book on destination weddings by the Knot that I found helpful when I was starting my planning, too. Good luck!
  17. I love the excursion idea! I could do the spa with my Mom and FI's Mom, and send my Dad out deep sea fishing (which he'll love). I've already ordered parents albums for them but they wont be ready for quite a while after the wedding, so this would be something fun for them while we're down there. Thanks guys!
  18. Congrats on your engagement. I'm sure you'll find a lot of ideas here to help you plan. I don't know anything about those resorts personally but I'm sure you can finds some brides on here who do. Take a look at some of the Mexico sub-forums and I'm sure you'll find plenty of info. Good luck! Have fun planning!
