  1. BBtoB, Thanks for your help. I def see a theme and it sounds/looks like you guys had so much fun. I guess I am just nervous because there is a new WC, Mayra, and she doesn't answer my questions that well. Lily has been moved to the concerige desk.
  2. Any suggestions on how to decorate the Los Vitrales room at the Lindo? I know you can hire an outside vendor to do this, however, it's not in my budget. I know how I would do it if my reception was at home, I just don't know what to do there, what I need to bring, or what I can purchase there.
  3. I was wondering who sings the 1st song in your slideshow of pictures? It is really pretty!!

I wish I was back in Mexico! Your pictures are beautiful! I am so excited to go down for my wedding in December! Thanks for sharing!
  5. I am working with 3 different WC at the Lindo. I am worried that having 3 different people answering questions will lead to some confusion, misunderstanding. Has anyone else had the same problem? 2 of them are great and are fast to respond, the 3rd is HORRIBLE. She only answers part of a question and is really hard to understand. Any suggestions?
  6. They are both super cute! I really like the circle, but also think you can use both for different things. Great Job.
  7. Thanks ladies I have a small number of guests right now, so I am leaning towards the hotel DJ. Did he use lights and such that a regular DJ would?
  8. Thanks! I am just concerned about the DJ- I've read that he doesn't speak English so you have to have someone do announcements anyway. Is this true?? I emailed DJ Bob- reviews on here say he's great- and he quoted me $600 for 4 hours. My reception is only 2 hrs so I am waiting for that price quote. I'm not sure that I want to spend that much more when I can make a playlist on my IPod and use it for $100! Any suggestions?
  9. I just ordered my dress! It was a hard decision for me- I really wanted the princess ball gown but it just isn't practical for the beach! I am happy with the one I ordered, it's just a totally different look than what I had anticipated!
  10. I was wondering what people are doing for music at the reception...I have read through a lot of posts and thought I made up my mind to just bring my own playlist on an Ipod and have a friend DJ. I was just told by a random WC that we can not bring our own music and use the sound equipment, that we must use their DJ. I have been working with Lily and a different lady emailed me back. Any ideas/ input?
  11. I would leave them as they are! Sometimes simple is just better. The flower is very pretty- you did a very nice job!
  12. These are super cute. I always find great deals at Old Navy, and their tanks are very comfy. Your girls will love them!
  13. I would def wear a strapless top and just lay out as much as possible!! If all else, you can go in a stand-up tanning unit and that tans your chest quite well. I'm sure a couple times would do it!
  14. These are SO cute. I looked at the website and am thinking of using them for my information packets that I will send out prior to the wedding. Thanks for posting, it has been very helpful!
  15. Hi everyone, I have been reading tons on here for the past week. We JUST decided to go ahead and plan a wedding for December. Our date is Dec 3 (no saturday weddings left!) and will be at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo- Riviera Maya. We thought about this once before so I read a little, but have just started this week with the planning- and I NEVER do things on short notice so this is SO new to me. I am very organized and plan EVERYTHING! So far I have: -Location chosen and date confirmed -Our trip booked -Colors chosen -2 guests have booked -Maid of Honor chosen- my sister, but she hasn't booked yet I have sent emails to photographers and am trying to decide to just spend the money or if I should just go with the resort photog. So much to do.....
  16. Ok, so I was torn between resorts, and I have now chosen and confirmed Iberostar Lindo. My wedding will be on December 3rd. I have been reading through this forum and have found SO much info, so thanks to everyone. I hope I can return the favor because you girls have done an awesome job!! I have 4 months to plan the wedding- I am sure I will be asking tons of questions.
  17. Andim- I have read in several places that the Grand will not allow kids attend the wedding and are pretty strict on this. I'm not sure if it was here or on another Iberostar forum~ iberostar-board.com where you can find information as well. I also remember reading that they will assist in finding babysitting services. Sorry, I don't remember where since I have been reading SO many forums! Good Luck.
  18. Thank You everyone, I have found SO much info on here!!
  19. As everyone has said, your review was wonderful. I am trying to decide between Moon Palace and Iberostar Lindo, and you have really helped me with my decision. Your pictures are beautiful! Thanks for your details, it was SO helpful
  20. Hi everyone! I am new here and am deciding between the Moon Palace and Iberostar- Lindo. I love the Moon Palace, except for the water/seaweed situation! If it weren't for that, I think it is PERFECT for a wedding!!
  21. Hi everyone! I am new and have just decided to have my wedding in December 2009. I had my wedding all planned at Iberostar Paraiso Lindo but became very sick and had to cancel! I am just deciding to re-plan for December 2009 and cannot decide between Iberostar and Moon Palace!! Any suggestions, I would love to hear. I have dated my FI for 10 years now and have been engaged for 1 1/2 years. We really love Mexico and can't wait to have our wedding there!
