Sorry that you had to go through that! That is absolutely unacceptable. I would call corporate again, and ask for a refund. Tell them if they don't at least refund the amount you spend on alterations, you will report them to the BBB, etc.

Hey, I do know that Moon Palace includes fireworks after the ceremony in one of their packages.

Dreams Palm beach is very close to the airport. If you want to find out where all the hotels are located, go here: Punta Cana on the Dominican Republic East Coast, Reviews and Information for Punta Cana - Debbies Dominican Republic Travel Dreams Palm beach used to be Sunscape Punta Cana. So just look for where Sunscape is located. Dreams Punta Cana is about 50-60 min from the airport. HOpe this helps!

Hey! I checked on vista print, and you can upload your own image, add text, etc. I think for 50 it was $15. But then they kill you on shipping (about $10 for 14 days!). But full color, so with that good of a deal, i'd say it's worth paying more for the shipping. I've checked out so many websites, and the average price I found was about $45 for 25 magnets! vistaprint.com

okay so i wanted to do Majestic Colonial, but I just read some reviews that said the beach/water has a lot of coral, so bring water shoes This kind of freaks me out, the whole point of going is because I wanted a nice Tropical Beach! I went to a resort in Puerto Rico before, and couldn't even go in the ocean because there was so much coral. I don't want this to happen here. Has anyone been to the Colonial, or heard anything different about the beach?>

I am trying to decide, and am almost positive i'm going with the Majestic Colonial. Do you know what the difference is between the Colonial and Elegance? Are the weddings in the same place?

Thank you!! I haven't spoken to anyone from either yet. I have read great reviews about MC and I loved the resort. So I thought I was all set and had my mind made up, then my TA told me about dreams, and said she just had 2 brides get married there who loved it. Dreams seems to have better wedding packages, but MC has great rooms! I guess I have to make the pros and cons! If you find out more wedding info on any resorts in Punta Cana let me know. Good luck!

Hey Everyone, I'm new here My name is Alison My fiance and I are planning our wedding May 2010, we are thinking the 25th or 26th. After considering several destinations, we have decided on Punta Cana. We are torn between the Majestic Colonial and Dreams. Any suggestions?

You might want to check out expedia or Vacationoutlet.com. I am looking at the majestic, and my travel agent quoted me $1389 (for air from boston, transportation to/from hotel, and 7 nights at the hotel). Per person. So I went on expedia and vacation outlet, and they had a price for all of the same for only 1200! So 2400 per couple. I talked to my TA and she said she could match that price. I'd say that is the way to go. It's def. way less expensive that 400 a night per couple...I believe air alone ran about 950 , so that means the hotel for a couple would be around $208 a night!

Hey, Congrats on your engagement! I stayed at the Barcelo Bavaro palace about 3 years ago and I loved it...absolutely no complaints. The beach is beautiful, and they would come by a few times a day and rake up any seaweed that washed up. The grounds are amazing. I was also looking there to have my wedding. It's great because you can use all of the other resorts in the complex as well. I will say though, that I was there for 10 days, and we only stayed at ours (except for meals). Goodluck!
