Thanks for posting that link....I've been waiting for pictures to surface!!!! Its not THAT bad, although not as good. But, like someone else said, we are having our reception on the beach, and so I think it will actually be much better for that purpose....I hope!

wondering if anyone out there has had the inside of their wedding bands engraved? we are looking into doing this with a cute spanish saying....but arent coming up with anything that "wow's" us! any ideas for a saying? other thoughts on engraving??

I am having an awful time figuring out what to do for a favor at our Mexico wedding....There are awesome ideas on here, but everytime I mention one of them to my FH he says they are for tourists! We have alot of local friends and family in mexico...so its hard! any ideas for a non tourist favor - which i guess means, no shot glasses, no tequila, and no maraccas!!!!

Quick question....do any of you know what is going on with the beach right now? I saw on trip advisor some pictures posted with bulldozers on the beach near the gazebo!

I'm also an August Bride! 8.9.10 at Dreams Cancun!! We just recently booked our flights and are soooo excited!!! Although i really hope their beach restoration and all their bulldozers are gone by then!

One thing to remember though, especially if you have a large group is that with the group rate you can get a block of rooms to gaurantee your guests can stay at the same hotel as you...if they are full during your wedding (depending on time of year) some of your guests could end up staying elsewhere. For us, we have a wide range of budgets, families with and without kids...so we opted to find a travel agent that will organize it all and let us know who is where, as long as we get to see everyone during our weeks events and the big day we think we will be satisfied.

Cecilia is also my coordinator...so far, she has been very quick to respond to my emails (usually within a day). She seems very nice and informative. However, I was the one paranoid about putting the deposit to reserve the date so that I knew there was no way it could get overlooked, and I asked her about three times for the instructions to send it (they dont take credit cards). The proposal only took about a week for me to receive. Follow up with her...I hear they get TONS of email, so if you let it get buried in an inbox that could be part of the hold up.
