Hey Lisa and Josie~ Im really hoping you heard back from Ael today! sorry yall are both foing through this stress- it seems like they should bump up the time they get in touch with you to at least 3 months prior to the wedding to relieve some of this stress! I cant believe you can possibly 'buy' an earlier time for dinner and the reception- My wedding is at 3:00 so that would be totally worth it to me! let us know if management allows it- seems like they shouldn't have a problem with it considering you are paying for the extra work required for 70 guests but don't have all the guests...if that makes sense Are any of you who are using Calypso photographers doing a TTD? Also, how far in advance should I start looking for invitations? Im really starting to feel like I haven't been a good planner- I don't have a dress yet, or BM dresses picked out, or a photog...basically all I have is a date and STD's ...am I way behind??

I love the Maggie Karena Royale but haven't tried it on anywhere. I also like JSM1235 on the sottero and Midgely website, and came across it by accident in the store- I like it in person more then the pic and would make some alterations to the necklike. I love the rd1044- very beautiful for a destination wedding! I don't know much about having a dress made- are they usually pretty close to the one your wanting?- and how much cheaper are we talking

Congrats on booking at the Riu Palace- I was just there and it is amazing! The service and staff go out of their way to make you happy. I have been in May, June and July and the weather is always gorgeous, it has never rained while I was there. It can get a lil cool at night in May and early june-high 60's. But it is BEAUTIFUL!

Katie- I Love your BM dress- and it comes in a bright pink like I want- was it expensive for your girls?

Ya I was wondering how y'all were too Cute BM's dresses! Sammysgirl- I am in love with a Maggie dress too- I havent found anywhere that carries it areound me though and would be too scared to order without trying on first. Maybe you could sell the dresses you bought and go after the one you love!

Hi girls- I am so sorry to hear about all these stressors! I feel overwhelmed just reading about it! I had no idea there would be an extra $9 charge for alcohol and that seems ridiculous! It really feels like they are starting to nickle and dime you. Let me just get this right- if you pay the 1700- is the dinner and DJ in the same room or do you move b/t the two events- I was just wondering if the full bar is open for the entire 2 hrs (even though thats hardly enough time to eat, dance and enjoy an open bar!) I am still trying to decide on using an outside photographer- It seems like the packages that the riu's Calypso is actually super expensive considering you dont "get" any pics- but the wc said I would need to book outside vendors a room and that makes them more expensive- I also would love to do a TTD and am not sure calypso can do it
