I am using Blue Lens Caribe for an outside photographer- They are located in Playa Del Carmen- I have set everything up through emails with Dennis- He has been SOO great to work with! He really let me customize a package- I didnt want video and we worked it out so I get a TTD instead- Awesome! He was also pretty reasonable. Katie Welcome back- I LOOve your new pic! Beautiful and I can't wait to see more! How did you end up giving out your oot bags? Did any previous brides do the Sand ceremony? Are there any going out bars anyone can recommend? So I finally got the 7:00 Chilis dinner reserved with Ael- she kept emphasizing we had to have 60 guests to book it- then I magically have exactly 60 guests and she "informs" me if I go over 60 each person is $15.00, WOW thats so strict! Ive also been annoyed because she told me back in October that to bring in my photog was going to be $100 for the day pass, and now it's $200! SOO frusterating!! But I am so thankful to have the 7:00 confirmed Ladytrunk- how are you playing the music as your guests are seated, on your own ipod radio or will the resort do it?

Riri - Wow you work fast! I know they might already be booked for this May but I would really appreciate any info you have about the reception options at Kool beach, prices, dinner options, music options, etc. Thanks!!

Adreinne- that's not a bad idea! I'm still waiting to hear back from Ael but if we dont get the earlier dinner I might consider doing the same! O my goodness- I just went back through the posts that I had missed over the last two weeks while I've been MIA and can't believe there has been so much drama! Katie- did you get the dinner menu figured out? That is the first I have heard that our guests can't order off the menu! Also which dinner option did you decide to go with (Im sure I overlooked that somewhere) Probably by the time you get to read this you will already have had the most fabulous wedding ever !! Thanks Chloe and Riri- that sounds like a great idea and I just told my Fi and he loved the idea too. I got my first email from Ael last week! YAY! I can't believe it's getting close! I emailed her back yesterday with a few questions and am waiting to hear back- mainly we have 55 booked right now and I REALLY want the 6:45 dinner at Chilis I have seen other brides have. I have my fingers crossed!! We had our couples shower this weekend and it was Amazing! My fi's 2 sisters threw it- it has been mid-70's here for last few weeks and of course Sat. the high was 37' too cold for Texas! but we had a blast and just got done going through all of our new gifts Also we got Fi's suit today at Hugo Boss- checking off that to do list! We are also going to register for a pre-marital weekend that we have heard great stuff about- I'd be happy to share the info if anyone is interested...

Jannae, I'm not planning on doing a seating chart either, it just seemed like too much extra work. I am still really crossing my fingers my group will be able to have the 6:45 seating/reception! I can't believe everyones dresses are getting in- So exciting! I can't believe mine still wont be in till March- only leaves 1 1/2 months for alterations and I haven't seen it since I ordered it in October! I was waiting to see it before shoe shopping but maybe I should get started incase it takes a while. Today is FI and I's last 'dating anniversary' 8 years!

Jen - Since the dresses give off two very different looks I think you need to decide what you want your fiance/guests to think when they first see you...I think # 2 has more of a "WOW" factor, and # 1 more of a beautiful/soft elegance factor- if that makes sense. When I was looking at # 1 I thought it was beautiful and def could't get any better- but then I scrolled down and saw # 2 and was literally like- WOW thats stunning! So my choice for you is # 2 but you cant go wrong either way

Ladytrunck- I love those table decorations- is that one vase or several put together- where did you get them? Are you also taking the candles down? I also love the chair bow knot, I agree they aren't necessary with the scenery, but I personally think they add a special, personal touch. ShellK, Glad to hear you had a great night! I finished my invitations and will have them in the mail tomm. Lisa, did you bring your ceremony music on cd or ipod or use theirs? Also, did you have a sand ceremony? (if you want a sand ceremony do we need to bring our own set up, or do they offer one at a reasonable price?) jen can't wait to hear how dress shopping went!

LadyTrunck- I was just wondering about ceremony set up as well. I keep seeing those lantern ball decorations on here and wondering if those are worth it to make it look more festive? Or what other decorations should we bring? I was thinking about bringing chair bows just so I could assure the colors I want. I feel SOOO behind, actually a little stressed! The only thing I have done is picked out BM dresses, invitations are done but I haven't mailed them out, OOT bags...haven't started, and I have a list of ideas I havent gotten to. This weekend is going to be the beginning of the 'getting stuff done phase'!!

MSG518- you should check out Jcrew- I had been looking at all of their different BM's dresses, but ended up finding perfect dresses under their regular dress section. They have several different styles that would be great for any shape. Good luck

Thanks Dana! Do yall think it would be better to buy each BM (I have 6) a gift certificate to the spa- they come in increments of $50 - so either $50 or $100 each - or just pay for their massage when we get there? Has anyone found nice starfish necklaces? other than Tiffany's.

Katrina~ Welcome! I am in the guest booking phase and just wanted to let you know the prices we have found and been given by the travel agent are around $950 just for the resort for 5 nights per person (based on 2 ppl per room)- and flights are pretty pricey from texas right now, around $450- so around 1500 per person - to say the least a lot of people who thought they wanted to go and we wanted to go arent going to be able to afford it. Especially with the hotels 80% rule this is something you should really put some thought into ahead of time- I wish I had! i probably would have chosen a place that was a lil cheaper or allowed the guests to stay where they wanted just to ensure more could come.
